Hello, I’m Kiyo, a National Licensed, English-speaking private guide based in Tokyo and surrounding areas. Before becoming a professional guide, I volunteered for nearly twelve years in Tokyo and Kyoto, welcoming visitors from around the world. For the past three years, I have worked as a private guide, continuing my passion for helping guests understand Japan beyond the surface. Tokyo is a city where modern life and long traditions exist side by side, and the many choices can feel overwhelming. Not being born and raised here, I understand that well. Discovering Tokyo step by step myself helps me guide you at a comfortable pace. I was born and raised in Kobe, in the Kansai region, known for its warm, people-centered culture. I value meaningful conversation and aim to create relaxed experiences — whether exploring history, local neighborhoods, or contemporary culture. Although I am new to this platform, I have received consistent five-star feedback from guests through other agencies. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or ideas you would like to discuss. I look forward to welcoming you to Japan. National Licensed Tour Guide (English) No. EN05863 Certified Domestic Itinerary Manager *My tours are all walking tours using public trains. *The maximum number of people I can guide is 7

This private 3.5-hour walking tour is ideal for first-time visitors who want to experience both everyday local life and cultural highlights at a relaxed pace. The slightly shorter duration is designed for comfort, as this route involves continuous walking. We begin in Yanaka, one of Tokyo’s most nostalgic neighborhoods, where traditional streets reflect ordinary Japanese life. Walking through Yanaka Ginza and quiet backstreets, you will see how locals live today while historic architecture and community atmosphere remain. We also visit Yanaka Cemetery and explore preserved buildings such as the former Yoshidaya Liquor Store. Next, we head to Ueno Park, home to major museums and green spaces. We visit Ueno Toshogu Shrine, including admission to the inner shrine area, before finishing in the southern area of Ueno Park, conveniently located near JR and Tokyo Metro stations.
