Hello! Konnichiwa! My name is Sachiko. I am a government licensed tour guide living in Sayama city near Tokyo and would love to show you all over my home country Japan. From the ever-popular tourist hot spots like Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, to the more unusual and rather unique local sites like Golden Gai in Shinjuku. Let me share personalized stories with you that will enhance your understanding of Japanese culture and its long history. I am a quite experienced tour guide. I have delivered tours for more than 1, 200 travel days since I received my license in 2006. I can create detailed customized tours, from single participant to large groups of 40 people. I will also be able to arrange a car, a van or a bus for your convenient transportation. I can build from a half day tour to a 2-week tour which is called "the golden route tour of Japan" . Please tell me all about your interests and the kind of places you would like to see. I am proud of my flexibility with scheduling to meet all of your needs, helping to make the most of your valuable time here. Before becoming a tour guide, I operated a language school in my place of residence for more than 15 years. I like to cook, visit art museums and do Japanese calligraphy. I also like to travel around the world and had great fun in many places which I visited. Because of my experience in intercultural business and my hobbies, I believe that I can meet all of your travel needs. I always enjoy meeting people and making new friends. Let's travel together! Certified Tour Guide since 2006 (Cert.#EN00362) Authorized Tour Conductor Membership: JGA (Japan Guide Association) & JFG (Japan Federation of Certified Guides)

Surrounded by mountains, Takayama is situated in the center of Japan. Takayama, "Little Kyoto in Hida" is a charming town with beautiful seasonal scenery and has a long and rich history. In spring and autumn, the famous "Takayama Festival" is held. Gorgeous parade floats pass by spectators and remind them of the classic landscapes of long ago. Spring Festival is held on April 14 & 15, Autumn Festival on October 9 & 10. The Takayama region is also known as the birth-place of Hida master-carpentry, "Hida-no-Takumi. " You can enjoy plenty of wood works in the city. On day 2, you will visit Shirakawa-go village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where 114 traditional thatched-roof farmhouses stand. In this tour, you will be fascinated with the original Japanese landscape decorated with history and tradition. **Takayama, Shirakawa-go and Kanazawa - a three-day private tour is also available.
