Welcome to Kamakura! During this amazing full-day private walking tour, I will take you to the most popular sights of Kamakura. I am a government licensed local tour guide with more than 15 years' experience. Kamakura locates 50Km southwest of Tokyo and enjoyed a period as the Shogun's capital from late 12th century to mid 14th century. It is home to many famous temples and historical sites and remains very popular with visitors from both inside and outside Japan. Only about an hour's train ride from Tokyo station, it is perfect for a day's outing. I've lived in near Kamakura and spent for most of my youth days, I know most of the corners and the details of this beautiful City. I will show you the special things that make Kamakura great.
My husband and I are usually independent travelers but there is no way we could have had the experiences we had and cover as much as we did in the short time on our trip were it not for the expertise of Nobu. I was able to request a change in itinerary (I really wanted to see the bamboo gardens of Hokoku-ji) and Nobu obliged graciously and even delivered the perfect recommendation for a hot soba request for lunch (it was a cold and rainy day). It was bad weather but Nobu made this one of the best tours we have had. He was attentive, considerate and knowledgeable. He showed us some out of the normal tourist places which was greatly appreciated. If ever in Tokyo again, we will request Nobu.

Don't worry I will teach you how you will go back to your hotel and I will buy your return tickets, too. *Kotokuin Temple (Great Buddha): I will take you to the huge "Open-air Buddha" watching over us without an umbrella, regardless of the weather. *Hase Temple: The compound of Hase temple is called the Paradise of the Pure Land of Kamakura. This place commands a superb view. You have an unbroken view of Yuigahama and Zaimokuza beaches. *Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine: The extensive grounds with plenty of natural greenery. A popular choice for the first prayer of the year, the shrine welcomes more than 2. 3 million visitors in the first three days of the New Year. *Komachi Street: Lined on both sides with stalls, restaurants and souvenir shops, it's a spectacle in itself-busy, cheerful and bustling on weekends with visitors who come to join the action.
