I pursued an opportunity to teach in China. I worked as a Japanese teacher to foreigners in Shanghai. The longer I lived abroad, the more I came to appreciate the unique aspects of Japanese culture. So I started learning English and Chinese to become a bridge to help bring foreign visitors closer to Japanese culture. Overview of your Tokyo tour

Kamakura is a historical city in Kanagawa prefecture which is known as " the Kyoto of Kanto region". It's a very popular tourist destination. Kamakura attracts us by more than 100 temples and shrines. We have the opportunity to enjoy the historical place where Japanese worriers ( Samurai ) emerged also This tour gives us a chance to enjoy Japanese history and culture here in Kamakura. It takes around 1 hour from Tokyo by train. The train leaves every 5 to 15 mins. I will be glad to see you and guiding you in Kamakura city.

Maru was absolutely fabulous! Her English is excellent and she is very engaging. Unlike some guides who can bore you to death with a very fixed agenda and spending significant time going over the same history on repeat, Maru boils it down to keep the tour fresh and engaging and she moves with an energy so you don't spend all day standing in line. She was terrific with our teenage son who had a total blast. Kamakura is a great destination with wonderful temples. A great trip from Tokyo. Special!

We enjoyed Maru very much. She met us at our hotel and took us on the Japan Rail system to Kamakura. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the city. She had lots of energy and her English was excellent.My husband and I enjoyed our day with her and would highly recommend her to other tourists.

Your Tokyo tour itinerary

Meet at your hotel or other places you will choose in Tokyo. I'd recommend starting our tour at 8:30 am to enjoy an ancient city, Kamakura. - We will leave Tokyo by train and arrive at Kamakura (1 hour away) - Great Buddha - Hase temple - Hokokuji temple - Kamakura Hachiman Shrine - Komachi dori street - Go back to Tokyo and finish our tour.
