Hello! I'm TAKU. Don't worry I'm NOT TAX! With an extensive knowledge of history and love for this amazing city, I am dedicated to giving unforgettable experiences that reveal the essence of Tokyo and surrounding area. Tokyo offers such a variety of attractions and beautiful places such as historical and cultural places, parks, museums and modern buildings & towers. I have deep knowledge to guide from the historical point of view, Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, Asakusa, off-the-beaten-tracks and many other spots in Tokyo. In addition, I have specialized skills to explain Sumo, viewing tournaments or stable practice tour because I have been a fan of Sumo more than 50 years. Beyond my tour guiding expertise, I hold a master's degree in Medical administration and financial planning, and I had worked for health insurance societies and pension fund, I can explain Japanese Social Security system while my guiding. Tokyo has convenient public transportation system, but it is still difficult for visitors to use without any difficulties because of using Japanese signs. That is when you need a guide, too. I have held more than 40 tours, bus tours, private tours and special purpose tours from March. In this 3 months, I got 7 excellent reviews posted out of 9 private tours (as of end of Aug, 2023). In September 2023 I concentrated Sumo Tournament group tours, 5 tours. I'm luckily to get 11 excellent reviews. I'm very happy to know my guests really enjoyed the tour and my explanation. Overview of your Tokyo tour

Are you interested in Japanese history and culture? If so, this is the best tour in Tokyo. 1400 years ago Senso-ji temple, the biggest and oldest temple in Tokyo, was founded by fishermen brothers and village leader. After that it developed not only as the object to pray for but entertainment place. You can enjoy history and shopping at the same time. 400 years ago Edo castle, current Imperial Palace, was built to protect from enemies and as the Samurai government office. It has very large site with moats and stone walls. It is much different from Buckingham Palace. Just a castle, but huge! 100 years ago Meiji Shrine was founded to enshrine Emperor Meiji who was the leader of Japan modernization. The place has a huge forest even in big city. There were almost no trees when it started to construct. You may be surprised after hearing its story! In addition to these spots, Tokyo has many attractive places. Please don't hesitate to ask me what you want to do or where you want to visit.

Taku was amazing... would highly recommend him. Pre tour he customized the tour for us, provided guidance on purchasing Suica card for train travel, and how much Japenese yen to bring. He is very knowledgeable, providing great benefit during the tour. He showed us the way to respectfully visit shrines and temples and much more. Even after the tour he has stayed in contact with us providing information on cherry blossoms in the other ports of call during our cruise. We hope to return to Tokyo and would hire him again.
