Tokyo has been my home since 2015, and I have been guiding visitors here since 2018. What keeps the job exciting is that every guest and every tour is different.
I see Tokyo not simply as a collection of famous sights, but as a city made up of distinctive neighborhoods, everyday life, history, architecture, food and countless small details that are easy to miss.
What I enjoy most about guiding is adapting the day to the people I’m with. Some guests are passionate about history and temples, while others are more interested in architecture, photography, food, gardens, shopping or simply discovering how people really live in Tokyo. Most enjoy a little of everything.
Of course, I love introducing guests to Tokyo’s essential places, but I also enjoy taking them one street further, into a quiet neighborhood, a local shrine, an old shopping street, an interesting building or a small restaurant they might never have found on their own.
My tours are flexible and personal. I regularly adjust the itinerary depending on your interests, energy, the weather and what we discover along the way.
Sometimes an unexpected place or conversation becomes one of the best memories of the day.
I believe that good guiding is as much about conversation as it is about information. I enjoy explaining Japanese customs, history, food culture, architecture and everyday life, including the many little things visitors notice but may not immediately understand.
My international background has also shaped the way I experience and explain Japan. I was born and raised in France, lived in Canada for 15 years and spent time studying in Berlin and Seoul before making Tokyo my home.
Whether this is your first visit to Japan or you already know Tokyo, my goal is to help you discover both the Tokyo you imagined and the Tokyo you didn’t know existed, at your own pace and in a relaxed atmosphere.
Sometimes, the most interesting Tokyo is just one street further.
Please note that I am not a driver. Tours are generally conducted using public transportation and, when useful, taxis. I can also arrange a private vehicle with a professional driver.
