Mikayla was an absolute delight after the over-stimulation of Tokyo. Her English is very clear as is her Japanese (and Bulgarian where she’s from). We followed a definite plan for the day but found her to be flexible to our wishes. As a result we had the perfect day in Kamakura visiting the Bamboo Temple, Ninotorii Blvd. and the Houkokuji Shrine to Kannon. We asked for her local knowledge for a special Japanese dining experience for lunch. Wow. The best meal of our entire trip in a small, clean boutique restaurant. Great sake. Great beer. Great seafood. By the end of the day we were great friends carrying away with us a treasure of memories and a new understanding of Japan. Don’t miss this opportunity.
