Hello! My name is Tomie, an officially certified tour guide. I have been a house wife for a long time before I began to work as a guide. I like the tour so-called stop and smell the roses type one and through it I would like to share a lot of things Japanese such as food and cookings including traditional ones, daily and seasonal customs covered by New year's visit at temples and shrines, spring and autumn equinox, Christomas in Japan. Also I love to inform the historical background of Tea Ceremony and Flower arrengement mainly because I studied them for a long time before getting marriage. Also I hope to introduce various new and old trends related to our daily life through my tours. Now I live in Yokohama near Tokyo, but I was born and brought up at a rural country side in Hokkaido, northern part of Japan. I hope you enjoy the comparison not only between cities and villages in Japan but also Tokyo and Kyoto, both of which have very different and interesting historical and economic background. I am very happy if my tour works even a little to make each of you draw your own picture about Japan with your interest. I am looking forward to seeing you at my tours. * National licensed tour guide (English) * English STEP test Grade 1 * Authorized Tour Conductor * JGA (Japan Guide Association) guide Training course I don't have a commercial driver's license, so my tours are based on walking, using subway, train and taxi, depending on the tour you book.

Experience the heart of Tokyo on a six‑hour cultural journey blending history, flavor, and everyday life. Explore the lively Tsukiji Outer Market, where fresh seafood, traditional snacks, and friendly vendors create an energetic atmosphere. Then step into the calm beauty of Hamarikyu Garden, a former feudal villa with tidal ponds and views that connect Edo‑period history to the modern skyline. Continue to Ameyoko, a bustling post‑war market street full of color and local character. Your tour ends in Asakusa, home to Senso‑ji Temple and nostalgic streets that reflect old Tokyo. Walking is the main style, with taxis available for comfort. Throughout the tour, you’ll enjoy thoughtful stories that bring each place to life.
The following itinerary is recommended: 9:00 meet at the cruise Terminal (meeting time would be changed upon your request) * Visit Tsukiji Fish Market; numerous seafoods, vegetables, sweets and kitchen utensils, which tell Japanese daily life. ** Hama-Rikyu Traditional Japanese Garden. Shall we enjoy Macha-Tea with admiring the nice view of the garden. *** Ueno Ameyoko shopping street once called Black Market after WWII. **** Asakusa (Light lunch) Asakusa seems to be classified as Down Town in Tokyo with a historical temple and shrine. Also, Naka-mise, shopping streets, attracts you. ***** Return your Cruise Terminal by train or taxi(upon your request)
