Buongiorno! I'm Karine, your private licensed guide for Lucca, Pisa and Florence provinces. I live in Italy but I was born in the south-west of France in 1970. I'm a professional working in tourism and have been organising and escorting individual customers and groups for 30 years! I have a limitless passion for Italy and one of my dreams came true when I settled in Tuscany in 1991, after obtaining my national guide's licence in France. I work as a tour leader in Tuscany and Italy since 1993, I am a licensed guide in Florence, Pisa, Lucca and their respective provinces. I'm a member of the National Association of Touristic Guides (ANGT) and the European Guide Federation (FEG). During these thirty years, I've met all kinds of obstacles in organising trips and, above all, a sea of emotions with customers who've always been ready to share experiences and knowledge. On the other hand, I've learned that customers aren't all the same, to be offered the same tours as everyone else. I like to understand what people like so I can offer them the programme they really want. Working in travel agencies has allowed me to understand the work from the organiser's point of view and my experience behind a desk, together with years and years of contact with customers, has given me the professionalism that only the most varied and numerous experiences can give. Overview of your Livorno tour
After I pick you up, we will drive to Lucca where our walking tour includes the highlights of that adorable perfectly preserved walled town. In the afternoon, we will visit Pisa's miracles square with the famous Leaning Tower, but also the monuments which stand close to it. This excursion can be shared in two half days: Pisa and Lucca. Our tour was just as advertised, we toured the town of Lucca and saw the sights. The drive to Pisa was pleasant and the leaning tower was a marvel. Florence was a lot of walking though and toward the end we were very tired. The sights in Florence needed a full day and I guess we tried to see to much.

Karine was a wonderful tour guide. She arranged bike riding tour around the walls of Lucca and took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. Karine's knowledge of Lucca and Pisa is vast and exciting. You can tell how much she loves history and sharing it with others. Karine had transportation ready and it flowed smoothly allowing us never to have to wait long. She also took us to a great gelato spot and helped us navigate the area when we needed a rest or a bathroom break. She was a great tour guide!

Your Livorno tour itinerary
In the morning we will visit the extraordinary square where stands: - the Leaning Tower. - the Cathedral. - the Baptistery. - the cemetery called the Camposanto. - the Old Hospital. All buildings which have stood in the famous Piazza dei Miracoli for more than ten centuries. Eventually, you can chose to visit the interior of these magnifical buildings: a fascinating trip through the medieval and theological symbolism expressed in Nicola Pisano's sculptures, Buffalmacco's frescoes in the Camposanto and the pulpit in the Cathedral. Pisa, wealthy maritime republic and powerful city since the 11th century, displays all its grandeur in its masterpieces. We will proceed to Lucca, the native town of Giacomo Puccini with: - Roman amphiteather, - Guinigi tower, - piazza San Michele, - the San Frediano basilica, - the cathedral, - the Pfanner garden, - and we'll walk on the Walls. You will be able to enjoy shopping during your free time in Lucca. Any special request you may have, do not hesitate to ask!
