Ciao! Hello! Hola! Benvenuti in Italia! Hello, Welcome in Italy, Bienvenidos en Italia! My name is Francesca and I am a qualified tourist guide. Photography lover, food lover, sea lover…well do you know that there is a relationship between Florence and the sea ? The city where I was born and I still live live, Livorno, is a nice sea town created by the Medici family. As I had been lucky to live an exchange student experience in Australia, I can understand the sense of wonder a tourist could have in a place like Tuscany and its cities. Visiting places like Florence, Lucca, Livorno. . it is not only art, history, museums but it is our daily life, curious things as a local could see and live. Or imaging how locals like the Medici, Michelangelo or Leonardo. . . could have lived in their times. I can tailor the tour on the visitors'needs. I always update myself with courses expecially based on two of my greatest passions: photography and food. And all this work enables me to enjoy my work, wandering in these streets and talking about the importance of tasting a good gelato or taking family pictures of the clients with the most important or curious highlights of the city and to have good memories of the visit. Some fun facts about me: - favourite painting at Uffizi: just to name one "La Lippina" painted by Fra Filippo Lippi - favourite dish: not only one of course ;-) But if you are in Tuscany "Pici all'Aglione" - favourite street food: schiacciata with prosciutto - favourite wine: in Tuscany Bogheri DOC, out of Tuscany Ribolla Gialla And now. . . vamos, let's go . . . andiamo! Please - before booking any tour contact me to ask for my availability: I always update the calendar but better be sure. - contact me only for the publicised tours in Livorno, Lucca and Florence, do not contact me for other destinations - do not contact me for shore excursion. As I am not a licensed driver and due to the Italian law about tourist guides, I cannot deliver these kind of tours. Thank you. Licensed Tourist Guide in Spanish, English and Italian. Licensed Tour Leader Official Certifications for Spanish, English and French languages Courses about Food and Wine (Food Photograpy, Food Blogging, Food and Wine Tourism...) I am a free-lanceguide, not a tour operator. I am not a professional driver or a tour agency and according to the Italian law you need a special licence to transport people in your own vehicle

Why should you choose this tour? I was born and I still live in Livorno, this hidden jewel that we will unveil together. For many people Livorno is the place where the cruise boat stops to go to Florence, Pisa or Lucca but if you want to discover this city you would be surprised by its history, flavours, colours thanks to the contribution of many communities; the Jewish, the Greek, The English ones. . . just to name some You will discover how the Medici family created and molded this little fishermen's village, building their own military and commercial harbour, creating a "free port" and a multireligious and multicultural city. And now. . . let's go. . . vamos. . . andiamo! (please before booking check on the calendar given with the tour description or contact me about my availability, thank you)

Francesca is wonderful!!
Francesca gave us an easy walking tour making sure we were comfortable on a hot morning. She had pictures on her IPad to show us what the streets looked like before and after WW2. She was easy to understand and had a good knowledge of the area. We enjoyed our tour with her.
Really enjoyed it. We made an unscheduled (ship change) stop in Livorno and were so lucky that Francesca had the availability to show our family around. She prepared activities for our children, took us to all of the gems around town, and made some awesome suggestions for how to spend our free time after our tour concluded. A cool guide who I'd recommend to anyone. Next time we visit, we'll try to secure an even longer tour!
You will visit the most important highlights of the city from the outside with a professional tour guide (not necessarily in this order): - Starting place: Piazza del Municipio (if you take the shuttle bus from the port, it is the last stop) - Piazza Grande & Via Grande - The Quattro Mori statue - The little fishermen market - La Venezia district - Via della Madonna - Mercato Centrale (the local food market) (if you would like to do this tour on Sunday, consider that the marlet is closed) Of course we can stop for a nice Italian coffee or a yummy gelato! Please, before booking message me in order to check my availability. And if you have any special interests or wishes, I will be happy to customise this tour for you! Due to the Italian Law, as a tourist guide I cannot organise shore excursions or your pick up in the port area.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
Walking: we will do the tour in a very relaxed way. Please wear comfortable shoes as this is entirely a walking tour
Piazza del Municipio, Livorno, Province of Livorno, Italy
