Hi everyone! My name is Michele ( a. k. a. Mike ), I was born in Pisa 35 years ago and was raised (and still live) in a town called Cecina, on the Tuscan Coast. My father is the one who first introduced me to the tourism business, and I immediately thought it was the perfect job for me!! I used to work for a big Italian tour operator, as a tour leader for groups of Italians traveling around the world, until I decided to start something on my own! Thanks to my mother's help I was able to improve my language skills, and I started working as a professional tour guide - driver since 2010. Sometimes clients ask me if I ever get tired of touring around with people in the same areas, but my answer is always the same one : NO!!!! I love my country and never take for granted the fact that I am so lucky to live in this region: my goal is always to provide a personalized experience for the client , and make your day the best one of your vacation! If you are planning to visit Italy , and specifically the area of Tuscany and the Cinque Terre, I am the right one to help you out! I can pick you up from the port where your ship will be docking ( La Spezia, Portofino, Portovenere, Livorno) or from the hotel or villa where you will be staying at to take you on a great tour! The vehicles used to provide the services will be Mercedes or VW with all the modern comforts, wifi and water will always be available for you! Maximum capacity of each vehicle will be 7 or 8 passengers plus the driver. Lots of information on the places you visit will be provided to you, and we will be able to access the historical restricted traffic area of the major cities with the vehicle, allowing you to see much more in shorter amount of time! Overview of your Livorno tour
You will be picked up by your driver in front of your cruise ship and head towards Volterra, an Etruscan Town inhabitated since the 8th century BC, also known as one of the "Twelve Cities" of the "Etruscan League" ( "Dodecapoli Etrusca" in Italian ). You will be walking through the "Piazza Dei Priori", in the heart of the town, then walk all the way towards the Roman theatre and the Cathedral. Do not forget to stop by the alabaster laboratory! Around lunch time, you will be driven to San Gimignano, enjoying a great ride through the Tuscan countryside while you get there. San Gimignano is a famous town part of the Unesco World Heritage site list, dating back to the third century BC. It became famous for its towers, its agricultural products and for its location on the Pilgrims' Route, the famous via Francigena ** lunch and wine tasting cna be arranged on this tour **

Michele/Mikey was wonderful! He was great to work with planning our itinerary, super-flexible and I think his English is better than mine! Picked us up in Livorno in a nice MB van - super comfortable - we hit the food market, per request, he helped me at a pharmacy, visited Volterra, which we loved and just loved driving the Tuscan countryside with him. Stopped at a wonderful restaurant for lunch overlooking San Gimignano and enjoyed it all the more with him. He really listened to us in San Gimignano and knew we'd want to be out of there quickly since it was so crowded. Only issue was with TBL website, but all was beyond perfetto with him. Super easy to talk to and we totally enjoyed our day with Michele!!

Mike was prompt to pick us up at our cruise ship. He was a marvelous guide and gave us just the right amount of history and things to do before sending us out to explore in Volterra and San Gimignano. His choice for lunch was perfect. We could not have dreamed of a better tour than he provided. If we ever make it back to Tuscany, we would look to book Mike again.
