I was born and raised here in Livorno, the sea gateway to Tuscany. I organize tours all over the region and transfers all over Italy. I cater mainly, but not only, to cruise guests who have limited time to spend ashore. I have designed some private tours geared on them, to allow the clients to visit the Tuscany highlights and "off the beaten path" destinations too. Although I am not a licensed guide and I cannot take people inside museums, I am able to deliver a commentary giving basic informations about the places you are going to visit. The tour includes roundtrip transportation and english speaking driver-guide. I arrange cycling tours as well! I provide top notch hybrid or road bikes, me as english speaking guide, helmets, transportation to the tour starting point and back to the ship. I also provide transfers all over Italy to or from any Tuscany's destinations. I have a License for driving people on a minivan, and for delivering cycling tours as well. I am not a licensed guide and will not be able to guide you inside historical monuments or museums.

Tuscany boasts the most famous marble quarries in Italy, the roman began to exploit them, and the marble used to build the most famous edifices in Rome was quarried here. It was used also by famous artists like Michelangelo who used to came here to choose the blocks to carve his sculptures. On this tour you can visit this unique and fascinating place with a local guide, who will drive you inside the quarries, giving informations about the history and tecnology used to quarry this precious material. You will have the opportunity to shop for marble ornaments and useful home tools. Along with the marble quarries you will visit two of the most famous Tuscan cities, Pisa and Lucca both rich in art and history. I will give an overview of history in a walking tour that will includes the highlights of both. You will have shopping opportunity too. In Pisa you can climb the Leaning Tower and in Lucca you can visit the Puccini birthplace. All entrance fees not included
Leonardo provided a nice day of touring and the Carrara marble quarry is a unique place to visit. He shared good information about the sites we visited; I learned a lot about Lucca and Pisa. Our stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa was early, to avoid crowds. He was waiting for me when I got off the ship so we could get started right away. There was also a bit of time to see some of the city of Livorno. Grazie, Leonardo!
This is the second time we used Leonardo service. He took us to see places that not on the normal tourist attractions. Pietrasanta is an interesting town of artists.
This is an amazing, fun and interesting tour. We love the Carrara Marble Quarries, enjoyed Lucca and found Pisa with the leaning tower interesting. Leonardo was our driver / guide. He has a vast knowledge of all thee areas and showed us the best of each area. I recommend the tour.
- Pick up from Livorno Port. - 1. 5 hours drive to the marble quarries. - 50 minutes visit with a local guide. - 1+ hour drive to Lucca. - 2 hours in Lucca, where we take a walking tour to see from outside the main highlights as Amphitheatre plaza, Fillungo Street, The San Martino Cathedral, Puccini's birthplace, the massive city wall from the top. - 30 minute drive to Pisa. - 1 hour stay to admire the Leaning Tower and Cathedral. - 30 minutes drive back to port.
