Overview of your Livorno tour
Today we will spend a day away from the crowd of the city. A full day visiting the wineries of Bolgheri, known worldwide for its superb wines. We are here on the Etruscan Coast, one of the most amazing coastal areas founded almost 3000 years ago. We will visit 2 excellent wineries, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Around lunch time we will stop in the charming tiny village of Bolgheri where I will reserve a table for you in one of my favourite local restaurants. If you wish to spend a relaxing day. . . don't look further! I was born in this area so this day will be unique as I will show you the places where I grew up, where my family lived and where locals live their daily life. A tour like no other, a relaxing day enjoying great scenarios, local traditions, excellent food and wine. No stress, no rushing, no crowds. . . live a day like a local! See you soon!

Gianmaria was a wonderful driver. He picked us up on time (we were in port on a cruise ship) and drove us in a clean and comfortable car. He is local so knows the area/roads well. He took us to two lovely wineries and we had lunch in a wonderful little restaurant in a cute town. He told us the wineries vary depending on their availability. If you book, ask to get to Chiappini vineyard if possible - all I can say is WOW. A family run business with a ton of pride and a wonderful tasting experience

We experienced an incredible day with Gianmaria. We visited two wineries that were both unique. The one in the morning was a smaller winery where we had a wonderful tour and tasting. We had a delicious lunch in a quaint cafe at our guides suggestion. He helped us order and get settled and then came back to pick us up. We toured a larger winery in the afternoon and again had a tasting. Our guide grew up close to the area and was able to give us lots of interesting information. Top notch guide/tour.
Your Livorno tour itinerary
1) Pick up at Port/Hotel at 9.00am 2) Drive to the first winery, stopping in unique places along the Tuscan Coast. 3) Cellars tour and tasting with explanation about the territory and production. 4) Drive to Bolgheri Village for lunch (I might opt also for a restaurant nearby Bolgheri). 5) Drive to the second Winery, tour and explanation (different from the first one!). 6) Wine Tasting and relax! 7) Back to the Port/Hotel on the main highway. NOTE: WINERIES AND LUNCH NOT INCLUDED AND WILL HAVE TO BE PAID DIRECTLY ON SPOT. THIS IS A LUXURY WINE EXPERIENCE IN ONE OF THE MOST EXCLUSIVE WINE PRODUCTION AREAS IN ITALY.
