In Florence, our walk takes us through the city center with unique examples of Medieval and Renaissance architecture, including the Duomo complex, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio and the Ponte Vecchio. Manolis was fabulous!! We saw more of Florence than we ever thought was possible. He’s very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with lots of stories. He’s lived in the states before so he’s very easy to understand. If you’re looking for an unforgettable tour, Manolis is your guide.
This was our first experience with a local tour. Manolis was very knowledgeable about Pisa and Florence. We had a lovely lunch from his suggestion and the best gelato and hot chocolate!
Manolis treated us to a day filled with lasting memories on our tour of Florence and Pisa. He is witty, smart, fun, charming, and was most attentive to our needs. He speaks English perfectly. We felt as though we'd been blessed with a walking encyclopedia. Although we'd walked more than six miles by the tour's end (all in our 70s), we managed just fine due to frequent stops for history lessons, photo ops and lunch in a small lovely restaurant where we were the only tourists. Manolis is a 5 star + guide.
Manolis tour was great. We looked at some of the standard Florence sites, but he really added to the tour by taking us to many of the less frequent Florence historic sites. Pisa was an added extra - there is a lot more to Pisa than just the tower. Manolis pointed out a lot of unknown details at each place we visited. Very energetic.
Our tour of Florence and Pisa, lead by Manolis, was the highlight of our entire vacation. We learned so much about Florence's history, culture and art, while still fitting in time to do a little shopping and, of course, GELATO. Manolis was patient with all of our questions, and explained things very thoroughly. He has a breadth of knowledge and truly enjoys sharing his wonderful city with travelers.
