I have been one of the few licensed guides of the Tuscan wine district for about 23 years and I guarantee you that this region where I was born and raised will be an unforgettable memory for you! This is the landscape of the famous European Gran Tours in Tuscany, where Monnalisa of Leonardo had her summer residence, where Giovanni da Verrazzano, discoverer of New York, was born and scenic territory for movies like "Much ado about nothing". We will explore the Chianti hills dotted with cypresses and breathtaking panoramic views by visiting castles, old markets place, monasteries and you will discover the real Tuscany, where noble families and peasants lived 1000 years ago. In the middle of our day we will stop in a family winery to enjoy a pleasant Tuscan lunch accompanied by extravirgin olive oil and wine tasting. Simply unforgettable!
On this tour you will have the pleasure to visit: -I will pick up you close your cruise ship. -We will head East of Livorno's port to reach the Tuscan hills and the Chianti wine district. -The monastery of Passignano. - The market square of the town of Greve, capital of Chianti Classic area, surrounded by shops that explain the history of the district: old butcher, embroidery, leather etc. - The old castle of Panzano or Montefioralle belonged to a noble family. - Visit, lunch, first wine and olive oil tasting in a family winery. -Lunch in a family winery -San Gimignano town of beautiful towers, best example of XI-XII century in Italy the so called Romanic stile .
