Hi there, welcome to Budapest! My name is Magdalena, I was born and raised in Budapest and I've always been amazed by the beauty of my hometown. As a guide and a proud Budapest local, I'd like to share this feeling with you. My motto as a professional tour guide is "Enjoy the ride!" - rather than just listing dry facts I'd like to tell you stories. Stories of the past, present and of the people of Budapest. Having travelled around Europe and having lived in the USA, UK, Spain & Argentina I must say that Budapest is the perfect city for me. It is the combination of all you need: stunning architecture, rich history, unique spas, great restaurants & the coolest pubs, a lively nightlife and exciting cultural & arts landscape. I invite you to discover and "feel the city" with me - both walking and on two wheels! Tour Guiding Certificate, issued by the School of Commerce and Tourism (Kereskedelmi és Idegenforgalmi Továbbképző) BA degree in Tourism and Hotel Management, Budapest Business School, accredited by the Manchester Metropolitan University MA degree in International Relations/ Foreign Affairs major, Corvinus University of Budapest None

If you'd really like to get to know Budapest with the eye of an insider join me in this two-day adventure! Touring multiple days together has many advantages - we get to know each other better so I can tailor the route to your special interests. My concept is that we cover the main UNESCO World Heritage attractions during the 1st day which allows us to explore more off the beaten path locations on the 2nd day. Downtown Pest is full of surprises, let me show you some of the most unique spots: beautiful hidden gardens, an inner courtyard and cute small squares of the Pest Palace quarter. We would discover the Jewish district too which is a buzzing urban area, the centre of night life and has a great amount of street art. We visit a great concept design store and a ruin bar which is a must-see while in Budapest. I'd tell you all about our history, culture, language, cuisine, famous Hungarians and give you many recommendations. If you'd like to make the most out of your stay this is the perfect tour for you!
On the first day we would cover the following attractions during our 5 hour tour: - Hero's Square and the City Park - Andrássy Avenue, including the State Opera House and the House of Terror - Parliament - St. Stephen's Basilica - Liberty Square - Buda Castle District, including the Mathias Church and the Fishermen's Bastion On the second day touring 4 hours we would visit: - Ferenciek Square: Paris Courtyard, Klotild palaces - Central Coffee House - Károlyi Garden, the last aristocratic garden of its kind in Budapest - Hungarian National Museum - Pest Palace District, Central Library - Jewish quarter - Great Dohány street Synagogue - Szimpla Ruin Bar The itinerary can be tailored based on your interests and other arrangements. We usually stop for some coffee/strudel breaks too, there are plenty of great options along the way.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
This is essentially a walking tour but we also use some public transportation if it's easier. We'll ride for example the millennial underground which is the oldest one in the continent and is a UNESCO World Heritage site!
