We had a great tour of the Danube bend. It was good to see the old castle and the cathedral was beautiful. It was also great to learn more about Hungarian history and see some of the countryside outside of the city. Definitely a good way to see more of Hungary!
The tour guide was prompt, informative, kind, and full of helpful suggestions. Transportation was high quality and very comfortable. The tour included historical sites and helpful background information, beautiful scenery and quaint towns, and delicious local foods. It was a wonderful experience.
I highly recommend this tour with Andrea who shared her knowledge of this beautiful area of Hungary not too far from Budapest. The Basilica was under massive renovations but Andrea showed us the most beautiful parts of the church behind the scaffolding. The views of the Danube Bend were incredible even with cloudy weather. Andrea gave us insights into how people lived then and now in the area which was very interesting. She took us to the shops in the artistic village of Szentendre and pointed out the historic homes and churches . Amazing information about the Danube river .

This was day 2 with Andrea and she did not disappoint with this country tour. We again widely broadened our understanding of this region and its deep roots. The country town lunch spot was simply excellent, followed by wandering the streets of this unique and interesting almost "Mediterranean" themed town. She was never rushed and was so thorough and accommodating. Her driver and car were so comfortable. She should be at the top of your list. You will always enjoy a day with Andrea.
- First, we visit Esztergom, Hungary's first capital city with the largest Roman Catholic Church in Hungary. - Then we continue to Visegrad, to this ancient settlement inhabited already by the Romans, with a medieval castle on top of the Visegrad hill from where we can enjoy the great panoramic view of one of the most beautiful landscapes in our country. - Afterward, we visit the town of Szentendre, a charming town with a Mediterranean atmosphere on the Danube bank 20 km from Budapest. In the 18th century, it used to be the center of the Serbs in Hungary, when it became the seat of their commercial, cultural and ecclesiastical life for a hundred years. - We can stroll along its crooked streets, narrow, romantic alleys, we can view seven church towers, colorful houses can feel the dominant Mediterranean atmosphere, and can visit one of its plenty of museums that make this charming, little town the most frequently visited center on the Danube Bend. - We can enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.
