Danube Bend Excursion - Esztergom, Visegrád, Szentendre

My mom and I took an outstanding tour with Rashad to Esztergom, Visegrad, and Szentendre. He is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, organized and an all around great guide. The tour went perfectly and he included aspects like the Marzipan Museum that were unexpected and fun. Attila was also a great driver that Rashad had for us. I would highly recommend Rashad and this tour. If I come back to Hungary, I would definitely use him again.

Rashad is personable, professional, knowledgeable and informative. He was delightful to be with. He has a passion for his culture and history that he shares with you. We spent two memorable days with him and wish we could have had more. We highly recommend his tours!!

Rashad was another amazing guide that we have had through Tours By Locals. The day before we had a wonderful tour of Budapest. Rashad provided a different and wonderful view of Hungry by taking us to three interesting rural communities outside of Budapest presenting us with a different view of life in Hungry. We learned of the history of the country and saw numerous historical sights. Certainly a tour worth taking.

We spent about eight hours with Rashad visiting the Daniel Bend. Rashad and his driver, Attila were on time at our hotel. He was very clear and concise about the plan for the day. The car was immaculate and very comfortable with excellent air conditioning in the warm days of Budapest. We spent the next hour driving to our first visiting site while he explained the economy of the country, cultural differences between Hungary and other countries surrounding it as well as the agricultural products of that country. Arriving at our first stop, Esztergom, he gave us a hysterical background of the city as well as the importance of the town and the historical context of the country. We visited the beautiful cathedral and spend a great deal of time in the cathedral with him while he was explaining the architecture as well as again the historical significance of the Christian culture in Hungary. The next stop, Visegrad, an old fortress is beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Again is amazing fun knowledge and historical information was very enjoyable. Finally we arrived at Szentendre. Another beautiful, very old town, incredible business and a amazing artist community. We had a genuine local Hungarian fried bread made by a local lady in her kitchen called Langos! It was an incredible treat eating a fresh Langos I was prepared in front of us. From there, we had a beautiful drive back to the city. Overall, it was an amazing trip. Again Rashad’s fund of knowledge and historical acumen is amazing. He does not lecture. He allows you time to ask questions and enjoy your visit. Thank you, Rashad for an excellent tour.

Our group of six had a great day on the Danube Bend with Rashad. He was on time, had a great van, was easy to understand and provided us with excellent information about history at each stop and along the way. He also added lots of interesting current information along the way. You will be very pleased with any tour you take with Rashad!
