Hi there, welcome to Budapest! My name is Magdalena, I was born and raised in Budapest and I've always been amazed by the beauty of my hometown. As a guide and a proud Budapest local, I'd like to share this feeling with you. My motto as a professional tour guide is "Enjoy the ride!" - rather than just listing dry facts I'd like to tell you stories. Stories of the past, present and of the people of Budapest. Having travelled around Europe and having lived in the USA, UK, Spain & Argentina I must say that Budapest is the perfect city for me. It is the combination of all you need: stunning architecture, rich history, unique spas, great restaurants & the coolest pubs, a lively nightlife and exciting cultural & arts landscape. I invite you to discover and "feel the city" with me - both walking and on two wheels! Tour Guiding Certificate, issued by the School of Commerce and Tourism (Kereskedelmi és Idegenforgalmi Továbbképző) BA degree in Tourism and Hotel Management, Budapest Business School, accredited by the Manchester Metropolitan University MA degree in International Relations/ Foreign Affairs major, Corvinus University of Budapest None

This tour is great for first time visitors, including many of the major popular Unesco World Heritage sights. You will quickly understand why Budapest is called the Pearl of the Danube - with its fairy-tale-like castles, charming alleys and amazing views it is a truly wonderful place. At the same time it is city that has so many faces - a buzzing arts and cultural landscape, great coffee houses, vibrant night life, special restaurants and trendy shops are all waiting for you to discover them. Let me be your guide and I will help you to find these great spots and besides visiting the main attractions I will give you plenty of recommendations for your stay. Meanwhile I will share with you about history, culture, the famous Hungarian cuisine and local stories. Besides walking ride on the oldest underground of the continent and on the scenic tram along the Danube.
The itinerary of this tour is quite flexible depending on our meeting location, but I always try to include as many of the most important attractions as possible: - Discover the Hero's Square and the City Park - Walk on the Andrássy Avenue, including the State Opera House and the House of Terror - See the Parliament - Take photos at St. Stephen's Basilica - Walk through Liberty Square - Discover the Buda Castle District, including the Mathias Church and the Fishermen's Bastion This is a suggested itinerary, let me know what you would like to see and do and I will customize the tour accordingly!
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
This is a walking tour but we also use some public transportation, such as the millenial underground and tram.
