I was born in Budapest in 1967 and I have always lived in this beautiful city. Qualified in 1993, I work as a full-time professional tour guide in the Hungarian capital. Out of showing the most beautiful sights and monuments, I would like to present our culture, traditions and everyday life in my way: brought to life with many personal stories and memories. My main profile is organizing walking tours in Budapest, e. g. : a comprehensive WORLD HERITAGE TOUR and shorter walks to explore the good old Buda Castle, the hidden treasures of the City Park or the dramatic sites of FAITH, COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP and THE 1956 NATIONAL REVOLUTION. My main hobbies are studying about arts and history, as well as organizing tours, excursions and club activities for tour guides in Budapest as a member of the national tour guide association. It is an other story: I am also a member of the Hungarian Vegan association. Licensed guide in English and Italian, national certification in 1993. Graduated in art history. My tours are only by walking and using public transportation. While I'm not a driver, I can arrange private car/van for you if needed.

My comprehensive Budapest sightseeing tour includes the UNESCO world heritage sites, the main monuments of Pest and Buda. These are even the places to take the best photos! I will share interesting facts about the people of the city both from the past and the present. We will visit Heroes' Square with the spectacular national monument of Hungary, symbolizing the history of our proud country in the heart of Europe. I will take you to St. Stephen Basilica where the oldest human hand of the world is exhibited. After crossing the majestic Danube river, you will see the Gothic beauty of Matthias Church. Would you see the Romantic Vajdahunyad Castle which is even connected to Count Dracula? Would you travel with the oldest subway of the continent? Or admire the most breathtaking view of both banks of the river? I would like to share with you my personal experiences of Budapest from a local perspective, including its funny and engaging aspects.

It is very clear that Adam loves the city and wants his guests to fall in love with it too! We had a lovely tour and appreciated seeing Budapest through his eyes. Highly recommend!
My wife and I took this private tour with Adam on the very first morning of our 3‑day stay in Budapest, and it was hands down the best decision we made for our trip. Adam was outstanding. His knowledge, preparation, and attention to detail were truly impressive, and he brought the city to life in a way that made everything feel approachable and memorable. Beyond that, he was incredibly personable—we quickly developed a great rapport, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The itinerary was perfectly paced and well thought out. From Heroes’ Square and City Park to St. Stephen’s Basilica, Buda Castle, Matthias Church, and Fisherman’s Bastion, Adam made sure we saw all the key highlights while seamlessly incorporating local insights and historical context. Navigating public transportation together gave us confidence to explore on our own afterward. By the end of the tour, we felt completely comfortable, safe, and well-prepared to spend the rest of our time in Budapest independently. Adam not only showed us the city, but also equipped us with the knowledge and confidence to fully enjoy it. Out of our entire 3‑city trip, Adam was the highlight. We would absolutely and enthusiastically recommend him to anyone visiting Budapest.
We enjoyed the ease of our walking tour. Very interesting and informative. Would definitely recommend.
This tour with Adam was just perfect! Adam is an engaging tour guide explaining what we were seeing, telling us about the history of Budapest and sharing his personal story in the city. After a tour with him we were well prepared to take public transportation in Budapest, revisit certain areas and just generally get a much better appreciation of this wonderful city!
Wonderful tour. Adam is a passionate and knowledgeable tour guide. His background in art history adds a great deal of depth and insight. Highly recommend.
- Meet in your hotel or any other point of the city you prefer. - Take the Millennium Underground to Heroes' Square and walk around the other attractions of City Park: Vajdahunyad Castle and Szechenyi Thermal Bath. - Take the Underground back to the center, with a quick stop on Andrassy Avenue to see the Opera Theatre. - Admire St Stephen's Basilica (optional skip-the-line inside tour) - Take a subway and bus to Buda Castle, see the Matthias Church (optional skip-the-line inside visit) and Fishermen's Bastion - Enjoy the view of the Parliament and the Danube bridges. I am happy to customize the itinerary according to your own ideas. The tour is mostly on foot, but we are going to use public transport at times (subway and bus). You can have an optional coffee/lunch break. I can show you a typical eatery or pastry shop to taste local food or a traditional cake. When visiting churches, please wear appropriate clothes (no sleeveless tops, short skirts or shorts. )

Mostly walking, though we use public transport (metro and bus) at least three times.
