Full day Jewish Heritage Tour of Budapest through authentic Jewish eyes - by car

This is not just a slogan for me. Since I come from local Jewish family and grew up during Communism, I can give you much more than pure facts learnt in history books. This tour is for all those who would like to see besides the highlights, the hidden Jewish treasures, as well. My tour goes through the Jewish sights of Budapest in chronological order. Covers the Castle District Medieval Jewish Sights, the Old Buda Section functioning and flourishing Communities, the Pest Jewish Quarter. Visit Europe biggest Synagogue, the Jewish Museum, Memorial garden, Orthodox Synagogue etc. I will tell you stories about the Holocaust, how the Jewish Quarter turn to the ghetto during WWII, how was the rescue and resistance movements outside of the Ghetto while we are at the Glass House (this was the one of most important center of it) , showing you the Shoes Memorial by the River Danube and many more.

Meet you at your Hotel. - We see grand Budapest thru Jewish interest in chronological order. Start in the mid 13th cent. - Visit the Castle District, learn about the Medieval Jewish life, see Medieval Sy (Monday only from outside) after it continue to Old Buda, to the center of the 18-19th Jewish life - Then get to Pest, visit the Golden Era Jewish Quarter - the ghetto in WWII. - Interior visit in the Dohany Synagogue- the best evidence of the Golden Period-, Jewish Museum, see the Holocaust Memorial, - Orthodox Synagogue and Courtyard with the Wedding Canopy (Option for kosher snack or lunch break. ) - Rumbach Synagogue. After the Jewish Quarter, we complete our tour with a short drive to the Glass House. and to the Shoes Memorial by the River.
