Excuse me, do you know maybe where are the most amazing and interesting sights in Hungary? No? Then you are at the right spot, to find them with me! Hello there traveller and my future friend! My name is Petra, like the city in Jordan. I'm an experienced tour guide since 2015 and also licensed tour guide in the largest European Synagogue. I speak fluent English and in any case of necessity my Spanish can help me to survive and of course, I'm a native speaker of the fourth most difficult language in the world; Hungarian. When I travel my first question usually is: "where the locals eat (or drink)? If you are just a little like me, you are in the right place to find the answers to this question! Fortunately, I already found the best locations in Budapest already! On this tour I would like to show you around the Pest side of Budapest. Through the downtown area we can visit the most local food places where we can try the typical Hungarian people lunch, snack and dessert. To keep a nice balance, we also walk around the city, then eventually we arrive at the Jewish Quarter where the food tour extends to a food AND street art tour. The Jewish Quarter is still one of the most hip and underground part of the city. The tour is customizable!

This was 10++++. So much fun. Not your run of the mill church, library, palace, synagogue. This tour with Petra lightens up some of the historical devastation unleashed here.
Petra C. took us on a wonderful food tour (come hungry) including goulash, langosh, and a classic chimney cake. We explored the Jewish Quarter and Ruin Bar district, with lots of fun and delicious tastings, as well as a cultural education on Hungarian cuisine and traditions. Highly recommend!

We did 2 tours with Petra. This one being a local foodie based tour. But also still walking around the areas gave you a local insight. Going to the spotless Markets and local cafes. I will want the Golash recipe Petra. So yummy. WE were geting a bit full and this day was warm.. so I was starting to feel a bit pooped. soon recovered though, LOL.Jokes aside... thankyou. you were one of the best hosts we have had.
- We meet at your accommodation or wherever you please, and we'll have a deep dive in the bohemian district of the city. - Then we explore the best street food options in the city, even try few of the most typical dishes of Hungary, e. g. the Langos or the Chimney Cake. - As we arrive at the Jewish Quarter, we talk about the history of the area. Afterward, we walk around in the heart of the district where we can experience the urban culture of the city through the beautiful works of Hungarian and international street artists, - As a perfect closing act, we visit the oldest ruin bar as this is the most pleasant place to discuss topics such as the constantly changing nightlife and socio-political environment of the city beside a nice glass of local drink.
