Bohemian Street Art and Food Tour in Budapest

Petra is the best! My wife and I had an amazing afternoon with her getting our first intro to Budapest. Not only did she take us around to try the incredible food of Budapest but gave us some quick but still extremely informative historical tidbits about the areas we were in. She even gave us an additional list of places we should check out over our next few days in the city. 10/10. Cannot recommend enough and we’ll be sure to book with her again when we can make it back.

Taking the Bohemian Street Art and Food Tour with Petra is like getting three tours in one, and for the price of one! Petra not only identifies street art which you would never be able to discover on your own, she also provides expert analysis regarding the background of the art and its creating artist. She takes you to all of her favorite restaurants, cafes and markets to sample a wide variety of not only the Hungarian classic dishes and drinks but also a number of surprising treats as well. And, throughout the tour she provides an interesting description of not only Hungarian history, but also its society and current condition. Petra provides this in a forthright and straight-forward style which is both informative and descriptive. Petra is friendly and engaging, and speaks excellent English. She was very well-organized and planned the tour expertly - which is hard to do with the various food stops in different areas. Again, we did not just go from food stop to food stop as do some food tours - Petra blended in the street art and the historical route we took - such that there was no down time in between the food. And, you will end the tour having sampled the best Hungarian food I had on my vacation. You cannot do better on a four hour tour which went all too quickly but was a great learning experience as well as an expertly planned tour spanning history, food and street art. Choose it for any or all of the three! You will end up appreciating the street art (which is so much more than you might expect), identifying Hungarian favorites and items you would not otherwise find, and learning more about Hungary in an always interesting presentation. Highly recommended with Petra!

Wow how lucky we were to book our private tours with Petra. Petra is so knowledgeable and passionate about Budapest and its history. We had two delightful tours with Petra and we enjoyed every minute. Petra kept the pace of our tours at an enjoyable level as it was quite hot. This was 10++++. So much fun. Not your run of the mill church, library, palace, synagogue. This tour with Petra lightens up some of the historical devastation unleashed here.

Petra C. took us on a wonderful food tour (come hungry) including goulash, langosh, and a classic chimney cake. We explored the Jewish Quarter and Ruin Bar district, with lots of fun and delicious tastings, as well as a cultural education on Hungarian cuisine and traditions. Highly recommend!
