I was born in Budapest in 1967 and I have always lived in this beautiful city. Qualified in 1993, I work as a full-time professional tour guide in the Hungarian capital. Out of showing the most beautiful sights and monuments, I would like to present our culture, traditions and everyday life in my way: brought to life with many personal stories and memories. My main profile is organizing walking tours in Budapest, e. g. : a comprehensive WORLD HERITAGE TOUR and shorter walks to explore the good old Buda Castle, the hidden treasures of the City Park or the dramatic sites of FAITH, COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP and THE 1956 NATIONAL REVOLUTION. My main hobbies are studying about arts and history, as well as organizing tours, excursions and club activities for tour guides in Budapest as a member of the national tour guide association. It is an other story: I am also a member of the Hungarian Vegan association. Licensed guide in English and Italian, national certification in 1993. Graduated in art history. My tours are only by walking and using public transportation. While I'm not a driver, I can arrange private car/van for you if needed.

The Hungarian Revolution of 1956 was a spontaneous nationwide revolt against the brutal Communist regime and the Soviet military occupation. It was not long: two weeks of beautiful democracy and one week of heroic armed resistance throughout the streets of Budapest, with Molotow coctails against the Soviet tanks. Even if it was cruelly crushed, David won a moral victory against Goliat. It was an event which on the long-term changed world history. We Hungarians did it! And its still today living memory makes us feel we can raise our heads with dignity. Come with me to re-live the demonstrations, the euforic days, the personal stories of my parents, the street fights, the terrible revenge, the deep silence for 30 years after it, and our feelings about it today.
During this tour, we will see the sites of the battles and the biggest mass demonstrations of Europe since WW2. - We start at the Parliament, where the martyr prime minister and the victims of the Communist massacres are commemorated. - I will also show you where the Catholic church leader, Cardinal Mindszenty spent his asylum of 15 years in dark rooms. In a small park, we will see the names of Hungarian water polo players who won the Sidney Olympic games in 1956 in a bloody match against the USSR. - In the second part, we take the tram to southern Pest, - the Museum garden, with the memory of a student martyr. - then, we will see the Radio building where streets fights started. - Finally, we will walk through Jozsef Town, and we finish in Corvin Passage. Here, 1000 revolutionaries, half of them teenagers armed with Molotow coctails, held out for one long week against 100. 000 Soviets and 4000 tanks! The most shocking memorial is there.
