Hello! I'm Carolin I love Salzburg and I know you will love this city soon. I would be happy to show you the secrets and charms of my home town. Do you want individual guided tours in which humor is not neglected? Then you've come to the right place. Because my most important concern is that your stay in Salzburg becomes an unforgettable experience. I have been able to live art history from an early age, I completed my studies in art history in Salzburg and other countries and cultures with their uniqueness are my passion. At a very young age, I was a tour guide in Rome, the Vatican and throughout Italy. I look forward to bringing you closer to my Salzburg, the Rome of the North. Did you know the funicular takes us up to the fortress in just 58 seconds? The ride itself offers breathtaking views, and from above the city’s history unfolds beautifully before your eyes. As an art historian who has lived and worked in different countries and traveled widely, I understand what travelers are looking for: a quick but meaningful overview of history, the best coffee houses, delicious specialties, unique local products, and exquisite shops. If that sounds like you, then join me in discovering Salzburg! Every day I delight in showing my guests hidden corners, meeting talented artisans in their workshops, and sharing the city’s most charming secrets. Trust me, this is my true passion. I can’t wait to show you my Salzburg, the “Rome of the North.” Why is it called that? I’ll reveal it as we wander the city together!
We’ll begin our tour at the Mozart monument on Mozartplatz and stroll past the splendid Residence Fountain to Kapitelplatz. From the historic horse pond, you’ll enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the mighty Hohensalzburg Fortress. A short funicular ride takes us up to the fortress for sightseeing, including a visit to the charming Puppet Museum, before gliding back down into the city. We’ll stop at Salzburg’s oldest bakery and take in the atmospheric cemetery of St. Peter. Our walk continues past the Cathedral to the Alter Markt, then into the famous Getreidegasse and its hidden alleys, home to traditional workshops and shops offering unique local specialties. Of course, we’ll also stop outside Mozart’s Birthplace. Finally, we’ll cross the Salzach to the Mirabell Gardens for a picture-perfect view to end our tour. This itinerary can be tailored to your wishes, just let me know!
