My name is Patrick and I was born and raised in Salzburg. I've always been interested in the unique history and beauty of Salzburg. As a young child I started exploring the beauty of the countryside with it's hidden gems as well as the tourist attractions, my dad, who has been working as a tour guide since I can remember, showed and learned me a lot. I had my first experiences as a tour guide when I joined my father on some of his tours and I loved it from the first minute. I have been working full time as a professional tour guide in Salzburg, Austria since 2019. I offer private tours in Salzburg, and all over Central Europe, including the Bavarian Alps in Germany, Northern Italy and Switzerland. I love to show people from all over the world my beautiful country and the neighbouring countries. My goal for all my clients is that they have an unforgettable time here in Europe, tailoring the tours to their needs for maximum comfort. I only offer private tours - it is your vehicle with me as your professional local guide, for your group only. If you would like to explore Austria with a real local, let us get in touch. Situated in the heart of Europe, Salzburg offers a wide variety of sightseeing destinations. For all my tours I use either a luxury minivan or, on request, an Audi A6, which is very practical in a small city like Salzburg and allows you to see much more than just walking around the city. For a first time visitor, I would recommend the Bavarian Mountains (Eagle's Nest, Salt Mines, Königssee), Hallstatt and the Lake District, as well as many other places of interest. It is up to you to spend a day away from the typical tourist attractions of Salzburg or to visit the trendy places in Salzburg. •I'm a licensed professional driver-guide. •For my private tours I use a luxury minivan or an Audi A6, all registered at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. •Sightseeing with minivan and limousine. I do not offer walking tours, I am a licensed driver-guide and offer private tours with my vehicles.

Overview of your Salzburg tour

Join me on a day full of history, starting with the Salzburg Lake District, where I grew up. I will show you some of the beaten tracks on our way to Hallstatt, which for me is a unique place in the Salzkammergut. After travelling back in time to follow the Celtic and Roman footsteps, we continue our day through the beautiful Austrian and Bavarian countryside to the Obersalzberg and the Eagle's Nest. Obersalzberg was the second seat of the German leaders during the WWII. Let me share the stories my grandparents told me about what it was like to live in Salzburg during the war as well as all the history of the place where the Nazis made many important decisions about war and peace.

Patrick led us on an excellent tour. He was cordial and very knowledgeable about the region, its culture and history. He also strived to tailor the information and dialogue to our primary interests. I would highly recommend Patrick for anyone who wants to explore this region.

What a terrific day with Patrick! We saw two very memorable sites: Werfen Castle and the magnificent library at Admont. Patrick arranged everything perfectly and delivered us safely to the Linz train station. We had a great time with him. Thank you, Patrick!

We love our private tours in a city we are unfamiliar with and this tour did not disappoint. We could not visit Austria/Germany without getting a closer look at the beautiful scenery outside of Salzburg in the Lake District. patrick was able to take us into areas that the average tourist would not see on there own. We had a leisurely tour through Hallstatt and then onto some more of the somber sites. We visited the site of Hitlers home in Obersalzberg. It gives one a chill to realize the evil that took place there with planning. Patrick had to pivot on The Eagles Nest since it was closed due to weather conditions but suggested the Documentation Center instead which was wonderful. He suggested we focus on the underground bunkers. All in all, a wonderful day. You can’t go wrong with this particular tour, nor with Patrick . Definitely a highlight of our stay.

Highly recommend spending a day with Patrick exploring his corner of Austria. He is an excellent, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable guide. The hours flew by and we learned about the area’s culture and history and was in awe of the beautiful scenery. Do yourself a favor and book a tour with Patrick.

Patrick is an amazing tour guide! I guess it runs in the family as his father also conducts tours of the area which Patrick accompanied him on from an early age. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area and its history. He is also very well-connected which leads to "special" visits which the average tourist or guide would not be able to access. From his and his father's research, he even provides photos of the Eagle's Nest and Hitler's house from before and immediately after WWII which are very helpful in terms of understanding the layout of the area. It was definitely worth the money!
