Hi everyone! My name is Carlos and I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Salzburg. Home of Mozart and the Sound of Music, where culture, history and architecture are surrounded by the majestic Alps and the breathtaking Lake District. It all started as a Summer job in the Portuguese island of Madeira where I was born. Guess what? I loved it so much that I'm still doing it today. I've been guiding in Salzburg since 2006. Simply WOW! Carlos was perfect! We had a 5 hour half day tour and he took us to ALL THE KEY SPOTS. His ipad with photos and movie clips form SOM helped soooo much. This was a trip of a lifetime for our 30th wedding anniversary, my wife is a BIG SOM fan, and this met ALL EXPECTATIONS. Carlow was wonderful with a great attitude and personality. He recommended a great lunch spot close to the train station where he met us. Overall a great experience.

Carlos was excellent. We were a group of 14 from CA. Carlos and the other guide coordinated to make the day for our group one to remember. Updated Mercedes vans, tour included Sound of Music sights, but we customized a bit. Carlos was very knowledgeable about all the sights, areas, movie trivia and history of Austria including current information on life in Salzburg/Austria. This is not the typical group tour, very personalized. We all enjoyed it!
Your Salzburg tour itinerary
Start your day with a Walk through the Mirabell gardens, famous across the world for the Do-Re-Mi scenes filmed here. It is also one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the city. Head back in the luxury minivan and drive past the horse baths and the festival halls on your way to Leopoldskron Palace. After a short stop at Leopoldskron, drive on to the palace of Hellbrunn where you will have the chance to visit the original gazebo and gardens. Then, leave the city and drive south into the stunning Bavarian mountains where the opening scene was filmed. Now is your chance to spin in the field, reenacting the opening scene. Afterwards, enjoy the magnificent panoramic view on the way to the final portion of the tour that will take you through the Austrian Lake District and to the "Sound of Music" wedding church in Mondsee.
