Manfred was great. He was right on time and knew his way around. Had great insight and knowledge of the area. He arranged for our group to have a wonderful meal with an unbeatable view. I would definitely ask for him again the next time we’re in Salzburg.

Amazing and informative tour, Manfred was wonderful
Manfred is a very knowledgeable guide. After telling him about our interests, he was able to quickly customize a plan for the day that accomplished what we wanted to see. He also suggested some locations in the Lake District that we were not familiar with but ending up enjoying immensely. It started raining but he was able to adapt to the situation and re-arrange the order of indoor/outdoor events so that we still enjoyed seeing all the sights we wanted to see despite the weather.
Manfred was a great tour guide. We only had 6 hours in town and he was able to customize a tour for our time frame and still hit all the highlights. We wouldnt have been able to see both Salzburg and Hallstratt without him! Friendly and informative, highly recommend!
Manfred's enthusiasm and understanding of all things Salzburg was really terrific. Especially enjoyed our trip up the mountainsides for spectacular views of the city and area. This is what sets Tours by Locals apart - you see the city from a personal point of view. When we return, we will skip the Sound of Music sites in preference to exploring the fortress, old city sites and more time on mountainside - perhaps even hiking. Manfred will certainly be our guide.
