Hi everyone! My name is Carlos and I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Salzburg. Home of Mozart and the Sound of Music, where culture, history and architecture are surrounded by the majestic Alps and the breathtaking Lake District. I love where I live and I am proud to be a fully licensed driver guide. I have been working as a professional guide since 2001. It all started as a Summer job in the Portuguese island of Madeira where I was born. Guess what? I loved it so much that I'm still doing it today. I've been guiding in Salzburg since 2006. Carlos is an excellent guide that really gets to know the needs, limitations, and personality of the group. His knowledge of the area is extensive, knowing about hidden gems as well things you might want to avoid. He is a pleasure to be with, a good driver, and we were so very comfortable in his lovely vehicle. His communication with us was top notch. Carlos was amazing, very knowledgeable and put up with 6 women in a van. EEK! Such a great day! He knows all of the smaller towns that have Christmas markets for locals and not the markets filled with bus tours and crowds. I highly recommend Carlos!!!!
Carlos is the absolute BEST. He was so knowledgeable and incredibly personable. He provided us with an amazing all-day tour that ended up being the highlight of our entire trip to Austria. He took into consideration our interests and took us to incredible scenic sites that blew us way. Journey along the emerald-green Fuschlsee to our first stop at Castle Fuschl. Travel on to St. Gilgen and take a stunning photo of the beautiful scenery from a great view point. - Leaving St Gilgen and driving along the Wolfgangsee our trip will bring us to Bad Ischl, famous for its spa and the Emperor's summer palace. - Driving through Bad Goisern we will reach one of the highlights of our tour, Hallstatt: the pearl of the Lake District. - In Hallstatt I will point out all the hidden gems as well as the must-sees of Hallstatt, you will have 2 hours to explore Hallstatt as well as to have lunch in one of the beautiful lake side restaurants in Hallstatt (at your own expense). - On our way home from Hallstatt, the Gosausee with its backdrop of the glistening Dachstein glacier awaits us for a short stop.
