Hello ! I am a native of Salzburg and I have been working in the tourist business since 1996. Initially being a tour guide was more a student job besides my studies of business administration, in which I have an MBA degree. After a while I noticed that this is not only a job, it is my real passion. Since then, I have been doing tours in large parts of Europe on coaches, minivans and ships during river cruises. Certainly, I am specialized in the Alpine region, particularly in the Salzburg and Bavarian area. My favorite tours are the lakes district tour to Hallstatt, the Bavarian mountains (Eagle's Nest, salt mines and Lake Königssee), the Ice Caves, Innsbruck and the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. My goal is showing my clients the most beautiful and interesting sights of my area and also places which are off the beaten tracks on private tours in my own Mercedes van. Apart from my mother language German, I am fluent in English and Spanish and can provide a big knowledge of history and geography in a relaxed way. In my free time I love to go mountain hiking, sailing and skiing. Additionally I am very interested in magic art and I am member of the magical society in Salzburg for many years. I have a license for the conveyance of passengers. I have a MBA degree for business administration. I am a professional driver-guide with an own company and minivan. I do not offer walking tours in cities in Austria, I only provide guided tours on my van.

Overview of your Salzburg tour
Discover the magnificent city and the picturesque countryside of Salzburg in one day! On this tour I take you to all the major sights, where the movie Sound of Music was made as well as to one of the most beautiful areas of Austria, the Lakes and Mountains District east of Salzburg. Our way takes us via Lake Fuschl to St. Gilgen at lake Wolfgang, where we have a Lunch break and will enjoy the famous areal view across the lake, which can be seen as well at the beginning of the movie. After this I will take you further to the imperial city of Bad Ischl and finally to the highlight of this trip, Hallstatt and its beautiful lake. There you definitely will be enchanted by a unique historical town as well as by a spectular mountain scenery. The return trip back to Salzburg takes us to Mondsee with the wedding church of the movie. If you want to make the best out of your day, then I invite you to join this tour.

Your Salzburg tour itinerary
The day will start by a city tour through Salzburg including the settings, where the movie Sound of Music was made, like the Mirabell gardens (Do-Re-Mi), the old town with the Cathedral, the Castle of Leopoldskron (home of the von Trapp family in the movie)and the Castle of Hellbrunn with its park (Gazebo). After this the tour leads over the hills (which are still alive) to the breathtaking countryside east of Salzburg, known as the Lakes District or Salzkammergut area. We will drive past Lake Fuschl to St. Gilgen at Lake Wolfgang, enjoying the famous areal view across the lake (view at the beginning of the movie). After a longer stop in St. Gilgen, where you have time for Lunch, the tour continues via Bad Ischl to the heart of the Lakes District, the lake and the town of Hallstatt, where you will stay for approx. 2 hours. On the way back to Salzburg, the tour leads via Lake Mondsee to the town of Mondsee, where you will visit the wedding church of the movie.
