Hello ! I am a native of Salzburg and I have been working in the tourist business since 1996. Initially being a tour guide was more a student job besides my studies of business administration, in which I have an MBA degree. After a while I noticed that this is not only a job, it is my real passion. Since then, I have been doing tours in large parts of Europe on coaches, minivans and ships during river cruises. Certainly, I am specialized in the Alpine region, particularly in the Salzburg and Bavarian area. My favorite tours are the lakes district tour to Hallstatt, the Bavarian mountains (Eagle's Nest, salt mines and Lake Königssee), the Ice Caves, Innsbruck and the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. My goal is showing my clients the most beautiful and interesting sights of my area and also places which are off the beaten tracks on private tours in my own Mercedes van. Apart from my mother language German, I am fluent in English and Spanish and can provide a big knowledge of history and geography in a relaxed way. In my free time I love to go mountain hiking, sailing and skiing. Additionally I am very interested in magic art and I am member of the magical society in Salzburg for many years. I have a license for the conveyance of passengers. I have a MBA degree for business administration. I am a professional driver-guide with an own company and minivan. I do not offer walking tours in cities in Austria, I only provide guided tours on my van.

Enjoy the unique charm of Hallstatt, which is beautifully located between Lake Hallstatt and the salt mountain and looks back to a very long history. In comparison to the Hallstatt tour including SOM, I offer this tour because it concentrates more on the attractions of Hallstatt and its surroundings. There you have the choice between three attractions: the Ice Caves, the Five Fingers viewing platform, both on Mount Dachstein (tallest mountain of the area) or the Salt Mines above Hallstatt. The Ice Caves can be visited only on a guided tour. It is a fascinating journey into the world of ice. The Five Fingers viewing platform gives you a breathtaking view across the lake and the whole area. Both locations on Mount Dachstein can be only reached by cable car. The salt mines tour is a very interesting and also fun tour through the oldest salt mines in the world. After finishing one of these excursions you will have plenty of time in Hallstatt. Lake Gosau with a view to the Dachstein glacier will end this tour

From your starting point in the city of Salzburg this tour goes straight out to the Salzkammergut area, also known as the Lakes district, east of Salzburg. Via Lake Fuschl we drive to the charming, little town of St. Gilgen at Lake Wolfgang, where we have a short break. Then our way leads us through the imperial City of Bad Ischl and finally to the lake and the town of Hallstatt, the heart of the lakes district and declared to a UNESCO Wold Heritage Site. On your arrival in Hallstatt you decide, whether you like to visit the Ice Caves, the Five Fingers viewing platform or the Salt Mines. After finishing one of these excursions you still have plenty of time in the town of Hallstatt. From there our route leads to Lake Gosau, from where you can see the mighty Dachstein Glacier. Via Abtenau and the Lammer Valley we drive back to the city of Salzburg.
