Hello ! I am a native of Salzburg and I have been working in the tourist business since 1996. Initially being a tour guide was more a student job besides my studies of business administration, in which I have an MBA degree. After a while I noticed that this is not only a job, it is my real passion. Since then, I have been doing tours in large parts of Europe on coaches, minivans and ships during river cruises. Certainly, I am specialized in the Alpine region, particularly in the Salzburg and Bavarian area. My favorite tours are the lakes district tour to Hallstatt, the Bavarian mountains (Eagle's Nest, salt mines and Lake Königssee), the Ice Caves, Innsbruck and the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. My goal is showing my clients the most beautiful and interesting sights of my area and also places which are off the beaten tracks on private tours in my own Mercedes van. Apart from my mother language German, I am fluent in English and Spanish and can provide a big knowledge of history and geography in a relaxed way. In my free time I love to go mountain hiking, sailing and skiing. Additionally I am very interested in magic art and I am member of the magical society in Salzburg for many years. I have a license for the conveyance of passengers. I have a MBA degree for business administration. I am a professional driver-guide with an own company and minivan. I do not offer walking tours in cities in Austria, I only provide guided tours on my van.

This tour is the perfect combination of the city of Salzburg and its beautiful countryside, known as the Lakes and Mountains District, which is located east of Salzburg. Besides a general city tour this tour also covers all the important sites from the famous movie Sound of Music like the Mirabell gardens with the Pegasus fountain, the Festival district, the Castle of Leopoldskron, which was used for the backside of the von Trapp house, the Gazebo at the Hellbrunn Park, the famous areal view across Lake Wolfgang and the wedding church in Mondsee. As the movie is based on a true story this tour also leads to the real places of the von Trapp family. This tour is tailor-made for Sound of Music fans from all over the world as well as for people, who want to enjoy the charm of Salzburg City and its beautiful countryside. A real highlight on this tour for me as a local guide is to take travelers to a viewpoint overlooking Lake Wolfgang and to present them the beauty of this area.
- The tour starts with a stop at the Mirabell gardens in the new town, where you have the option to walk through. - From there we cross the river Salzach to the old town with all its important sights and places. - Close to the city's cathedral we have a quick stop to take some good photos of the old town with its beautiful church spires. - The next stop is at the Castle of Leopoldskron located at a beautiful lake and privately owned within the city, where we get out of the van for another photo stop. - From there it is a short drive to the Gazebo in Hellbrunn, where we stop as well. - This tour continues then via the real von Trapp Villa (outside view) to the Lakes and Mountains District on a scenic drive past Lake Fuschl to Lake Wolfgang with a stunning view across the town of St. Gilgen and the lake. - The last stop of this tour will be in Mondsee with the wedding church of the movie Sound of Music, which can be visited as well. - From there it is a short drive back to Salzburg City.
