Hi everyone! My name is Carlos and I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Salzburg. Home of Mozart and the Sound of Music, where culture, history and architecture are surrounded by the majestic Alps and the breathtaking Lake District. I love where I live and I am proud to be a fully licensed driver guide. I have been working as a professional guide since 2001. It all started as a Summer job in the Portuguese island of Madeira where I was born. Guess what? I loved it so much that I'm still doing it today. I've been guiding in Salzburg since 2006. It would be my pleasure to welcome you in Salzburg and show you all the hidden gems and of course the must sees such as the Bavarian Alps, the Lake District, Hallstatt, Eagle's Nest, and of course all the Sound of Music locations. Flexibility and customer satisfaction is my main priority so customizing your tour to your desire is my pleasure. - The luxury Mercedes van I use for my tours is fully insured and registered in the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. - Registered License: Sightseeing with minivans and limousines, Transfers. -I am a fully licensed Driver Guide. Overview of your Salzburg tour
How many days during your holiday do you waste just getting from one destination to the next and carrying all that heavy luggage yourself? On this private custom tour you will use your time wisely and see the sights on the way. Instead of just going from A to B, I will show you the most beautiful landmarks on the way to your destination and you will save time and money. An usual transfer from Salzburg to Munich or vice versa will take about 2 hours. On the way there are many places of interest that you can choose from like the largest lake in Bavaria Chiemsee and the famous palace of Herrenchiemsee one of the palaces built by the eccentric King Ludwig II of Bavaria. * You can also dive in the history of World War 2 and visit the Eagle's Nest in the mountains of Obersalzberg, where Hitler had his second seat of government named the Berghof. ** What about dressing yourself like a miner and discover the underground world of the salt mines and see first hand where the riches of the white gold came from.

STOP SCROLLING! BOOK THIS TOUR! Carlos took our family of 6 adults on a tour through the locations of The Sound of Music. He picked us up at the hotel and took us to an amazing bakery in the square where there was a Christmas market. Best market of the 6 we visited in 3 countries. We set off to learn about The Sound of Music and its filming. We went up the mountain where Maria sang “The Hills are Alive” in the opening scene. (It is private property but he has special permission.) After visiting the church where the Captain and Maria wed, we had lunch at a lovely local restaurant. Then Carlos drove us to Passau to board our Viking cruise. Our family loved this entire tour. And Carlos is an exceptional tour guide - warm, friendly, knowledgeable. Book this before someone else does.

Carlos was the best tour guide we could of asked for. His vehicle is spacious, comfortable and clean. He was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of our constant questions. He tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted and needed. When we ran into bad weather, he was able to quickly change plans to ensure we still had a great day. We booked our own boat trip outside of Carlos, and when the other party messed it up Carlos was able to quickly sort it out for us. Cannot recommend him enough
