The movie Sound of Music and I show you the locations - licensed Austriaguide

Full Day tour to the locations of the movie Sound of Music in the city and surroundings of Salzburg. The convent Stift Nonnberg, the hills and fields of the opening scene, the residence of the family Trapp, the wedding church, the hiding scene and the mountain that they escaped over to Switzerland. I will tell you their history as well as like it was in the movie. We will combine driving and walking a long the sights. It includes Panorama of the opening scene the hills are alive and DoReMi Scenery of Castle Werfen!

Shows you the city as well as the lakes. First we walk through the Mirabellgardens of Do-re-mi to reach Makart square with Hotel Bristol, Mozart's Residence and the theatres like Landestheater, Marionettes and Mozarteum. Then we cross the river and we drive up to the Museum of Modern Art, to dance like the kids in do-re-mi with the view above the city. We will walk now touring through the Oldtown to see the Festivalhall, the University, the Getreidegasse where is Mozart's Birthplace. We continue to the Residence Square and the Cathedral. To end our walk we pass the cemetary and the Monastery of St. Peter. Now we will drive passing the Abbey Nonnberg towards the Palace Leopoldskron, Fronburg and Hellbrunn. To see all the places used to film the surroundings of the Trapp house. From here on across the hills and DoReMi Werfen drive to lakes like Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, Krottensee and Mondsee. We will visit the Basilica of Mondsee used for the wedding in the movie before we ride back to Salzburg.
