My name is Patrick and I was born and raised in Salzburg. I've always been interested in the unique history and beauty of Salzburg. As a young child I started exploring the beauty of the countryside with it's hidden gems as well as the tourist attractions, my dad, who has been working as a tour guide since I can remember, showed and learned me a lot. I had my first experiences as a tour guide when I joined my father on some of his tours and I loved it from the first minute. I have been working full time as a professional tour guide in Salzburg, Austria since 2019. I offer private tours in Salzburg, and all over Central Europe, including the Bavarian Alps in Germany, Northern Italy and Switzerland. I love to show people from all over the world my beautiful country and the neighbouring countries. My goal for all my clients is that they have an unforgettable time here in Europe, tailoring the tours to their needs for maximum comfort. I only offer private tours - it is your vehicle with me as your professional local guide, for your group only. If you would like to explore Austria with a real local, let us get in touch. Situated in the heart of Europe, Salzburg offers a wide variety of sightseeing destinations. For all my tours I use either a luxury minivan or, on request, an Audi A6, which is very practical in a small city like Salzburg and allows you to see much more than just walking around the city. For a first time visitor, I would recommend the Bavarian Mountains (Eagle's Nest, Salt Mines, Königssee), Hallstatt and the Lake District, as well as many other places of interest. It is up to you to spend a day away from the typical tourist attractions of Salzburg or to visit the trendy places in Salzburg. •I'm a licensed professional driver-guide. •For my private tours I use a luxury minivan or an Audi A6, all registered at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. •Sightseeing with minivan and limousine. I do not offer walking tours, I am a licensed driver-guide and offer private tours with my vehicles.

Overview of your Salzburg tour

Let me show you the Obersalzberg area, which was the second seat of the German government during the Second World War, including the Eagle's Nest. Such as the salt mine where the prince archbishops of Salzburg obtained their white gold. In between these two highlights we will stop in Berchtesgaden where you can either have lunch in a very nice restaurant with beautiful views of the Bavarian Alps or explore the lovely town of Berchtesgaden. I would love to tell you about the history of my home town, where salt was very important for over 1000 years, the history of the Obersalzberg and the Eagle's Nest, as well as some stories my grandparents told me about what it was like to live in Salzburg during WWII.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Patrick in Salzburg, Austria and Berchtesgaden, Germany. Patrick picked us up from our hotel and we first visited the salt mines outside Salzburg (which was way more interesting and fun than expected), and then visited Berchtesgaden. Patrick suggested that a lovely restaurant for my wife and I to have lunch overlooking the town. Then, Patrick took us on a personal tour of where Hitler's summer residence used to be - only the remains are left as the Allies blew it up - and explained the history. We finished up with a visit to the nearby Hitler & WWII-related museum. Great visit!

Patrick Fussl was fabulous! His knowledge of Salzburg and the area was informative. He always made should we knew where he was, and he made us feel very comfortable. We would rate him an 11 out of 10! P.S. He needed to carry more water with him in the car. He only had 3 bottles for 4 people. Otherwise everything was great! : )
