We only had one day in the Anchorage area and wanted to see more than just the road between Whittier and Anchorage so we booked the “Whittier – Strangest Town in Alaska” Tour with Dawn. Dawn picked us up at the Port of Whittier, gave us a quick tour of Whittier and started us on our journey to Anchorage. We spent a great day with Dawn including a number of trail hikes...

As always, Tours By Locals endorses someone very reliable, sociable and knowledgeable about the location we were in. This time it was Dawn from Anchorage. She showed us around within five hours - we saw the bears,wolves, lynx, etc at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
