Hello! Welcome to the Scottish Highlands! Before I became a Tour Guide in 2016, I worked at Culloden Battlefield, where I led demonstrations of Highland weaponry and use of traditional clothing. My passion runs deep for all things Highland, particularly the Clans, Tartans, Kilts and Single Malt Whisky. As a Local, I enjoy sharing our culture and traditions as well as showing people our magnificent scenery and heritage. You will be accompanied by myself - an actual Highlander in a Kilt, who is well familiar with Highland roads, points of interests and some hidden gems. There will be endless stories of legendary folklore that I like to match with Highland hospitality. I am based at the Capital of the Highlands - Inverness. It is the home of our dear Nessie (the Loch Ness 'monster'). Here you will find actual places from the famous Outlander TV Show, inspired by the ones found at Clava Cairns and historical accounts of battles fought at Culloden. To this day, Inverness still has its delightful medieval flavour. Please be informed that I can accommodate a minimum of 2 or 3 passengers and maximum of 6. Solo travellers will need to book for 2. John was the perfect Highland guide. Just enough Scottish humor and lots of in depth knowledge. He was mindful of our time as we had to be back on our cruise ship. He kept us laughing the entire day.

John was a blast as a guide. Very authentic with tons of energy and very knowledge of the history of the area. My group of 4 loved the site seeing drive he did for us, which included a tour of the Dunrobin Castle. Along the way, we sampled several different and unique Scotch Whiskeys, and also stopped at GlenOrange for tasting of a flight of their premium single malts....

John is the perfect Ambassador for Inverness and Scotland! I cannot believe what a great time we had with our custom tour to Beauly, Urquhart Castle, Culloden Battlefield , Clava Cairns. He was knowledgeable, charming and personable too boot. A couple of samples of whiskey topped off the trip (I wasn't a fan, but he converted me). We definitely recommend!
