Since moving to Edinburgh in 1988 from Germany, via South Africa and Switzerland, I am continually struck by the awesome beauty of this European Capital, by the visible history, the living culture and the juxtaposition of nature and city. I have been guiding individuals and groups through Edinburgh, Scotland and the rest of the UK since 1994 and just love imparting knowledge, local anecdotes, introducing guests to the history and the daily life of this mesmerising country and city. Come and join me on one of my walks and prepare to be enchanted, entertained and educated. If you have any particular requirements or interests, I would love to hear from you and could then tailor a tour exactly to your requirements/interests. As a mother of six, I am particularly suited to adapt the program towards children/teenagers and have experience in bringing history alive for them. I very much look forward to meeting you and showing you around! 29yrs of experience of guiding individuals and groups for shorter or longer holidays, including cruise passengers. Felicitas! …..There are so many things to say. Traveling is about experiencing your destination and Felicitas helped us to fall in love with Edinburgh! If you get her as your guide you will have a jewel for the day. She started by helping us with planning and navigating our needs for the trip. On the day she met us on time and we were off for our Edinburgh adventure...

Our walking tour of Edinburgh with Felicitas was very enjoyable! I was delighted to spend a few minutes in the art museum to see the highlights of the collection. We toured the New Town, learning about its planning and construction. Then to the Royal Mile and the Old Town. Holyrood unfortunately was closed, but we started there with a view to the palace and its gardens....

Felicitas was a wonderful guide with a vast knowledge of her community. She kept a comfortable pace, explaing things in a way that left you with a good understanding of local sites and traditions. She seemed very well conected and we were able to view some rare pieces in local shops. I highly recommend her and this tour.
