Hi, my name is Hermes, a private guide based in Lisbon with a background in corporate events. I was born in Cascais, a coastal town west of Lisbon known for its multicultural environment. During my teenage years, I had the opportunity to travel across the country, experiencing different Portuguese traditions and visiting most of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Portugal. After 20 years of professional experience in corporate events, in 2014 I decided to embrace a new professional project: welcoming and introducing Portuguese culture to those who visit us. Each tour is designed as a private event, with attention to detail and a focus on your experience. My daily goal is to see smiles on my clients’ faces and share with them the love I have for my country and its history. I enjoy reading novels, walking through historic streets, travelling, meeting people, and talking about Portuguese history and culture. Hermes was excellent. We hired him for 6 hours in Lisbon. We let him select an itinerary and he did not disappoint. His knowledge of history is excellent. And he picked a great restaurant for lunch. We would highly recommend him. And the price was reasonable.
