Guide #19413
Hello! I’m Ravil. Born in Moscow, I moved to the Netherlands in 1989 — first to Nijmegen, and since 1996 to Amsterdam, which I’ve called home ever since. What began as showing friends and visitors around slowly turned into my work, and nearly thirty years later I still enjoy it as much as ever. I specialize in private car tours for people who’d rather have a flexible day than follow a rigid schedule. I’ve always been especially drawn to the smaller towns and the Dutch countryside — a village café, a quiet canal, an unexpected conversation, or a stop that wasn’t in the plan. These often turn out to be the highlights of the day. Some guests come for history, architecture, and art; others for local life, food, or simply to see the country beyond the usual tourist spots. I’ll admit I sometimes get a little carried away when a place I love comes up — so please don’t hesitate to tell me when you’ve seen enough or simply need a coffee. My aim is never to rush you through a checklist, but to help you experience the Netherlands in a way that fits your interests, at the pace that suits you. When I’m not guiding, I travel myself. In the winter months, you’ll regularly find me exploring Southeast Asia, which keeps reminding me what it’s like to be a visitor in a foreign country. A few practical notes: we travel in my modern SUV, comfortable for up to four passengers; for larger groups, I can arrange a minivan. I guide in English, Dutch and Russian, hold an official Amsterdam guiding permit, and am registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce.

We enjoyed this tour with our guide, Ravil. He was informative, friendly, and personable. He was happy to answer the numerous questions we had about the things we saw as we explored the highlights of Amsterdam. We especially enjoyed the local beguinage where single women live and work serving God without taking vows, where there is a hidden chapel. Very interesting!...
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Ravil. It was interesting, varied and fun. Thank you!

Ravil’s tour was perfect for seeing flowers and going back in Dutch time at Zaanse Sachans. He was organized and prompt picking us up and couldn’t be more pleasant to spend the day with. Highly recommend!
One of the best tours ever, thank you very much
