Hola! My name is Valeria, your local expert on all things Guadalajara! I was born and raised here in Guadalajara, Jalisco: the heart of Mexico. Home of Mariachis, Tequila, Charreria, and amazing food - it exemplifies everything I love about my country. After growing up here I stayed in the city for College, to study communications. This led me to jobs in journalism and a stint in marketing in the tequila industry. My real passion is working directly with other travelers to show them the best that my city has to offer. I have been working full-time as a guide for the last several years. I continue to take classes to learn more about the history of my country and explore more hidden areas of Jalisco. While I have traveled to over 30 countries and have lived in the United States, France, and Colombia, I have always considered Guadalajara my home. As a traveler myself, I understand that others want to make the most out of their time in a new area. I strive to provide experiences that feel more like being shown the city by a good friend rather than a tour guide.
