Hi, I'm Haruka, but please call me Hal. I'm a nationally licensed tour guide with a deep passion for art, architecture, fashion, and Japanese culinary culture. I am also a certified International Sake Sommelier. I curate and lead art and architecture tours in Tokyo, as well as food market tours. As a fashion enthusiast, I also introduce guests to Tokyo’s fascinating fashion scene. The way we dress, eat, and live shapes our culture and civilization. Through fashion (what we wear), food and sake (what we eat and drink), and art and architecture (where we live), I hope my guests can explore Japanese history, culture, and mindset in an engaging way. I spent about ten years of my childhood in England and Germany, where I attended an American school. Because of this international background, I have a strong understanding of Western culture in both Europe and the United States. I enjoy bridging cultures through stories, design, and local flavors, helping travelers understand Japan more deeply while experiencing Tokyo like a local. As a mother myself, families with children are always welcome!
