Hello, and welcome to Munich! After living in Munich for more than 20 years I decided to turn my passion for history (and stories) into my new profession. So I started the training to become an official licensed tour guide in Munich and after some blood, sweat and tears finally got the license to guide guests in my most favorite city in Germany. Most surprising for me was, that even though I knew most of the sites and had seen them regularly, I hadn't understood what those buildings or paintings meant, because I hadn't known the history behind it. For several years now, I love to show this city with all the highlights and hidden gems, the architecture and the novelties - and the story and history behind it. Let me tell you about the little quirks and traditions in Germany, Bavaria and Munich and see this city through my eyes. And then hopefully you will understand, why I love this city so much. Because even after all these years, this city can still surprise me - so join me on my treasure hunt!

We were 5 people just arrived from the US. Jet-lagged but eager to have a reason to stay awake. Marion was very patient with us. She had a great tour, she responded to our request to learn about art, architecture and history, and we learned a lot. She oriented us and made the rest of our trip in Munich more valuable.
