Nice to meet you. Born in Munich in 1966, I have lived here with my family most of my life. At the age of 16 I had the opportunity to spend two years in California. An experience that has influenced my life ever since. Not only did I learn (and learn to love) the English language and the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, it also broadened my view on both my hometown and origin. Being a tour guide is such a rewarding job, as I love to meet new people from all over the world and show them MY Munich. Strolling around this city is really fun and all the famous sights are quite close together downtown! There is so much to discover: the Gothic Frauenkirche, the Glockenspiel at Marienplatz, parks and palaces. . . Or would you like to try a glass of beer at the Hofbräuhaus, eat out in one of our famous Beer Gardens or go shopping at the Viktualienmarkt, a beautiful market where you can find the finest cheese, spices, fruit and vegetables, flowers and local craftsmanship? One of the top sites is of course the fairy-tale castle of Neuschwanstein in the Alps. I could take you on a day-trip through the wonderful countryside and show you the castle, picturesque villages and amazing churches on the way. But Munich also played a sad, important role in the rise of the Third Reich. During my tour of Dachau I will also show you the related sites in Munich for a deeper understanding of this dark era. When giving tours, my approach is always to give you a very personal, private tour and therefore an individual experience. It's not the amount of sites we "tick off", it is about why this church has been built, who is the king that turned his dreams into stunning reality. I want to show you my cultural heritage and let you be part of it. Being a licensed driver guide I can pick you up conveniently at your hotel and I will be with you throughout the tour, accompany you in the castles and also guide you at the destinations we visit, so you can simply lean back and enjoy! No matter if you are here for just a short period of time or a whole week - I will show you this wonderful city at your own pace, according to your wishes. Please feel free to contact me for any further information. Looking forward to meeting YOU! - Ausbildungslehrgang Reiseleiterin (Tour guide Travel Training Course) - Chamber of commerce degree: Certified Chauffeur - Commercial Driver's Licence allowing the transport of up to 8 passengers - Licensed guide for the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial The Bavarian castle administration does not allow private tours in some of the castles (such as Neuschwanstein e.g.). I will accompany you during the tour but a licensed guide will give the tour.

You only have limited time but want to get to know the city, its history and people in depth? Then this is the perfect tour for you! All in a relaxed pace and with my comfortable car, we can make the most of your precious time. I love all aspects of history and this tour has a bit of everything: traces from the middle ages, baroque glory, the dark era of the Third Reich and the futuristic approach from the 1970s. For an even better insight, I have plenty of historic photographs on my tablet that I can show you at the various sites. Being a true local Muenchner Kindl my approach is a very personal one: I not only love to share facts about historic buildings and political influences, the royal family (there are far more than just "mad" king Ludwig), beer and food or local sagas (like the devil's footprint). Just the same I like giving you insights into life of real people in the city today. It's your tour, ask the things you want to know. I am really looking forward to exploring Bavaria's capital with you!
We will go on a round trip by car with several stops and plenty of photo taking opportunities e. g. -at Koenigsplatz with ancient Greek inspired museums that gave Munich its nickname "Athens upon Isar" -and the area where the Nazis had their former center of power -the summer palace Nymphenburg with its baroque park -drive by the futuristic Olympic park from 1972 -drive through charming residential areas and down impressive boulevards like Ludwigstrasse In the historic center we will explore -Marienplatz with the townhalls -the food market Viktualienmarkt -Hofbrauhaus -Residenz -the cathedral and other churches if you wish and/or the new synagogue -a medieval city gate But these are just suggestions, if there are other sites in Munich you'd rather see, let me know and I'll try to include them

At first I will drive you around by car, a new Peugeot rifter with A/C, to give you an overview. In the second half we will walk through (mostly) pedestrian areas in the historic centre (or the other way around)
