Castle Neuschwanstein, Oberammergau and Monastery Ettal - Day Trip from Munich

Our family of 6 had the most AMAZING day in Bavaria with Elena September 18th. The Mercedes van was spacious and comfortable and Elena was timely. She was knowledgeable about the history of Bavaria and Neuschwanstein Castle and we felt we really understood Germanys history and the local culture during our tour. The most special part of the tour was how personal it was and she curated the day so we could see all of the attractions we were interested in. We started off with Neuschwanstein Castle which was gorgeous and interesting, followed by a fabulous Bavaria lunch then Alpine Slide which was so fun, then a little waterfall near the town of Fussen and lastly an hour or so walking around the cute town of Fussen. We even went to the Austrian border since my boys wanted photos of another country! The day was organized and well planned out and Elena was kind enough to give us tips on taking the train on our other day in Munich to see Dachua. If you are looking for a personalized trip to see the castles and Bavaria as a whole, I highly recommend Elena as your tour guide during your trip to Munich.

Elena was great! She promptly picked us up and from the first minute was a wealth of knowledge about the places we visited. She adapted the tour to meet our individual needs and preferences while not sacrificing any of the important details. Her driver Dejan also was excellent. We highly recommend her and would definitely consider other tours she guides.

This was one of our favorite tours and Elena offered great commentary. We had a nice lunch and by starting later in the day we avoided the crowds. The view from the castle was in itself worth the trip. You won't find a sweeter guide to tour with than Elena. Elena doesn't drive but she arranged for an excellent driver who helped keep us out of the rain that day.
