We had a fantastic time and Stefan didn't great job! Stefan was very knowledgeable about the beers we were drinking, why the beer was culturally important, and how the local laws and ingredients have shaped Bavarian beer styles. We learned several new things about how Bavarian beer is different then American beers. We started the beer at 10 am local time which was a great start time because we were able to visit the food market afterwards for a great lunch. My wife has worked in the craft beer industry in the states and she greatly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend to anyone - novice and experts alike. We would recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a deeper understanding of Bavarian beers and who is interested in trying the wide range of Bavarian beers that you may otherwise not discover.

My father and I did this tour and had a wonderful time. We had debated between taking the general history or this beer tour, worried that we’d either have to sacrifice history or fun. What I can happily say is that this tour is both, as it explains how integral beer has been to Munich’s economic, legal, technological, and cultural developments. There was scarcely a field of knowledge we didn’t touch upon and after taking the tour, elements of Bavarian culture make a little more sense in a holistic and organic way. This is all without mentioning Stefan himself who was punctual, erudite, and exceptionally funny and welcoming. Thoroughly impressed by his knowledge and his choice in beer. On this most recent trip, we had 7 days between Berlin and Munich and previously I had lived in both Berlin and Munich cumulatively for 6 months and this was amongst the best memories I’ve had in Germany.

Very informative and extremely knowledgeable, especially when it came to the information on the beers and the tasting. Stefan is definitely a professional when it comes to his knowledge of beers and brewing.

We had a great time learning about the history of Munich and beer while tasting a wide variety of beers with Stefan. Due to rainy weather, we did the tasting at our hotel, enjoying his information about each beer. Then we took the subway to Marienplatz to walk around the historic center to see all the beer sights. He gave us pointers on other places to go. We had a fabulous time and it was the perfect introduction for our time in Munich.
