I am a British born, Australian artist and tour guide, living and working in Munich since April 1997. From 1985 to 1988, I studied Fine Art at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia and moved to Munich in April 1997 to continue my art practice here. Travelling is a passion of mine and I have travelled extensively throughout Europe, Peru, Mexico, Cuba and India and I find one of the great joys in life is meeting new people and learning about history and culture in different countries. For these reasons I found tour guiding to be the perfect job for my passions, interests and personality! My love for the city of Munich and interest in it's fascinating 860 year history, led me to eventually work as a tour guide for various tour companies and agents in Munich and Bavaria. I relish showing off my "adopted home" to all my friends and visitors as Munich and Bavaria have captured my heart and my senses and it is such a pleasure to share my love of this wonderful place with people. "Tailor-making" a tour to suit my visitor's interests and wishes is what makes my job varied and fun. . . . . and the best part of the job is to receive such wonderful feedback from my happy and satisfied customers. Since 2002 I have also worked as an "officially accredited" guide for the DACHAU CONCENTRATION CAMP MEMORIAL SITE, where I am committed to telling this tragic history and offering a learning and unforgettable experience to those who visit Dachau. My customers have not only been regular tourists, but also school groups. I have had the great privilege to meet survivors and American liberators on my tours who have shared their moving stories with me and this has been a valuable experience for me as a tour guide. As a freelance private guide, I operate exclusively in Munich and the surrounding region of Bavaria and Salzburg (Austria). I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience of Munich's rich and colourful history and the beautiful, intoxicating surroundings of Bavaria with you, and hope you can join me soon on one of my individually tailored tours. I will ensure that I make the most of your time here in Munich so that you will experience as much as you can while you are here so that you will enjoy an unforgettable experience! "OFFICIALLY ACCREDITED" guide for the Dachau Concentration camp Memorial Site since 2002 Bachelor Of Fine Arts - Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne/Australia 1985 - 1988 I am not a driver but I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange a suitable vehicle with driver. This can be a 6 seater mini van or a 30 - 50 seater tour bus.

Dachau, located approx. 18 km northwest of Munich, was the first "prototype" concentration camp to be established by the Nazi Party in March 1933 and was later to become the "training ground of terror" for the SS. Over 200, 000 prisoners were registered at Dachau in 12 years, out of which 31, 951 were registered deaths. Over 34 nationalities were brought through Dachau and its subcamps, thousands of them would perish from overwork, starvation, or disease. Learn about Dachau's history in full detail, while hearing first-hand accounts from survivor's testimonies and stories of bravery and heroism. You will have a chance to watch the moving documentary film made directly after the liberation. Dachau was not only the first concentration camp but it would also become the first international concentration camp memorial site in the Federal Republic of Germany in 1965. It has become an important place of learning, memory, and remembrance for thousands of visitors each year
