Overview of your Munich tour

This is a full day tour to combine the sights of Sound of Music and Eagle's Nest, Eagle's Nest is only open from May to October. The trip takes you first on a city tour including the Mirabell gardens, festival hall, Stift Nonnberg Abbey, Palace Leopoldskron, Fronburg and the Gazebo in Hellbrunn. Then we drive to the area of Berchtesgaden to visit the Eagle's Nest or Saltmine, where you can have lunch. On the way to the lake district you will see the opening scenery. The tour takes you to the lakes Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, Krottensee and Mondsee. The Basilica of Mondsee is the highlight as it is the wedding church in the movie.

What am amazing tour, and an even better tour guide/host in Didi! His knowledge is truly 2nd to none and he's a great person to spend 10+ hours with, we had so many great discussions about the history of Germany, Austria, and the Sound of Music, but also about current events around the world. You will be lucky to have him as your guide, would give him 10 stars if we could. Also, our 18 year old son with autism was with us and Didi treated him with true class and respect, and made the day easy for him and all of us, thank you Didi!

Dietmar picked us up at the airport where we began our tour. As requested, he took us to Sound of Music stops and Eagle's Nest. Dietmar was cognizant of the weather conditions in choosing Eagle's Nest later in the day in hopes bad weather would dispense. He was very energetic and knowledgeable regarding the stops we made as well as others points of interest during our day. Would highly recommend Dietmar's services!
