I graduated in 1995 with a degree in Art History and have worked in art communication ever since. In developing didactic projects I've collaborated with Universities, Museums and Government Agencies. Most importantly, I spent several years at the MACRO (Museo Arte Contemporanea Roma) followed by even more years at the Trajan Markets (Imperial forums Museum). So, as you can see my interests in art range from the far past to the immediate present.
For the past seven years I've worked as a private tour guide and I love it. I believe a walk through Rome is a walk through time, from the earliest settlement on the Palatine to the still busy artisan neighborhoods, from the Christian churches to the Jewish Ghetto.
I specialize in tailor-made tours for first time or repeat visitors seeking more in depth knowledge of the city. I enjoy working with families and children and have had great experiences with tourists who have mental or physical disabilities as well.
". . only in Rome do you really get to know Rome. . " J. W. Ghoethe Italian Journey, 1786-1788.
Strolling through this ever surprising city aided by maps, drawings, photos and writings of each historical period, we'll penetrate and truly experience Rome!

Alessandra was so knowledgeable and our friends and we enjoyed our Colosseum and surroundings tour immensely. She was enthusiastic about her subject and took extra time to make sure she covered everything she thought we needed to know. We also enjoyed the restaurant she recommended for lunch. A very worthwhile experience!
