I graduated in 1995 with a degree in Art History and have worked in art communication ever since. In developing didactic projects I've collaborated with Universities, Museums and Government Agencies. Most importantly, I spent several years at the MACRO (Museo Arte Contemporanea Roma) followed by even more years at the Trajan Markets (Imperial forums Museum). So, as you can see my interests in art range from the far past to the immediate present.
For the past seven years I've worked as a private tour guide and I love it. I believe a walk through Rome is a walk through time, from the earliest settlement on the Palatine to the still busy artisan neighborhoods, from the Christian churches to the Jewish Ghetto.
I specialize in tailor-made tours for first time or repeat visitors seeking more in depth knowledge of the city. I enjoy working with families and children and have had great experiences with tourists who have mental or physical disabilities as well.
". . only in Rome do you really get to know Rome. . " J. W. Ghoethe Italian Journey, 1786-1788.
Strolling through this ever surprising city aided by maps, drawings, photos and writings of each historical period, we'll penetrate and truly experience Rome!

Alessandra was a wonderful guide for our tour of the Colosseum, Palentine and Roman Forum. She has extensive knowledge of the ruins, and brought a book of photos with her to help us better visualize the space as it was years ago so we could better understand what we were seeing (so helpful!). I would highly recommend a tour with Alessandra - you won't be disappointed.
