I am an Expat from the United States, I have been blessed to live and guide through this beautiful country called Italy for the past 22 years. My first love and city mastered was the Eternal City of Rome, where I have lived and taught an English Master's program at UET. The University of European Tourism is located outside the Papal walls of Vatican City. I enjoyed teaching and being around the students very much, their youth is contagious. As I've traveled around the entire country, I've discovered the beauty in each region, as well as the wine and culinary wonders. My guiding experience is throughout Italy's Regions, as a National Driver Guide. My areas of expertise include the hillside medieval towns that are nestled in-between the Apennine Mountains. During my tours, I explain the history of Italy and make certain that you have the opportunity to experience all of the local monuments, as well as the iconic art and historical culture. My guiding is based on the TRUE ITALIAN EXPERIENCE. The Slow Food Movement, which they call the zero kilometer touring started in Italy because of how the food is prepared and my tours will take you to taste it all, fresh cheese, the award winning wines and truffle pasta. . . not to mention the limoncello in Sorrento after a day in Pompei. I have been blessed with a gift when it comes to guiding children and the disabled throughout this country. Nothing is a challenge for me and I enjoy seeing each of these places with people who thought they would never get there, life is meant to be lived! Overview of your Rome tour

This tour is perfect if you have 2 full days in Rome and you want to make sure you are not missing any of the highlights! Take advantage of special no-wait entry at the Vatican and skip-the-line access to the Colosseum and while others wait in line, you experience the majesty of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica, followed by the ancient glory of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum, all with me as your private guide. You will also explore the main sites around the city: The Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Via del Corso, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, Supreme Court and you will stop for lunch at Ciampini. After lunch, you will discover the Appian Way where you will see the original door to Rome and also more than 15 miles of Catacombs. Afterwards we will explore the Pyramid on the Roman wall, the Port of San Paolo, the Key-Hole of Rome (Knights of Malta), Circus Maximus, the mouth of Truth, the Tiber River, the Jewish Ghetto and Greek temples.

WOW! There are not words to describe how wonderful CMC Travel and Caron are. They made our trip truly special. We loved our time with Caron and wish it never ended. She and her team are so knowledgeable, kind, fun and adapt to every need of our group. She is someone you need to have in your life and on your tour. Caron is top notch! Our group of 7 (ages 17-55) had an incredible experience with her in Rome exploring the city’s highlights. She took all the stress out of the trip by handling the schedule, securing tickets for major sites, and driving us (I would never drive in Rome...if you know, you know). She allowed us to simply enjoy every moment. Caron was always punctual, highly knowledgeable, and offered thoughtful insights and suggestions that helped us make the most of our time. One thing we especially appreciated was how intentional she was about pacing the days, building in plenty of breaks (in the most scenic spots) so we didn’t get worn out. Beyond her professionalism, she was very personable and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. By the end of our time together, it felt like we had made a new friend. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone visiting Rome!

Caron and Mauro were AWESOME! They really did a fantastic job with our tour of Rome and helped with a lot with other aspects of our 2 week vacation in Italy. There were some days where it seemed impossible to get everything done, although Caron was able to make it happen! You will be in very good and experienced hands booking your tours or trips with Caron. Her entire team was great to work for and they really know how to take care of every aspect of your trip. You will have nothing to worry about and will be able to relax knowing Caron and her team will have everything handled from beginning to end. When entering the Vatican you will be with a Certified Vatican guide, not personally with me as the Vatican is in another country and requires a different guide licence. The cost of the Certified Vatican guide is included in this package!

For the Colosseum Entrace Tickets we need the Name, Last name & Date of birth of all the participants at the moment of your booking, because is mandatory. If you are visiting the Vatican in the hotter summer months, an applicable dress code for the Vatican would be a t-shirt and bermuda shorts that at least caste a shadow on your knees. As a sign of respect most visitors wear long-sleeve shirts and a pair of long pants. If you book this tour on Sunday, we will visit St. Peter's Basilica and Castel S. Angelo instead of the Vatican Museums, which are closed on Sundays.
