Ciao! My name is Romina, and I am a licensed guide with a degree in Ancient Greek and Roman archaeology and art history. I was born and raised in Le Marche, a region of central Italy. I graduated from the University of Perugia in 2000 and then moved to Rome for the love of my husband. I started working as an expert guide for school groups at the excavations of Ostia Antica, a place I consider my paradise. This experience led me to become an enthusiastic, qualified guide of Rome. I love art and history, but also food and wine. I adore ancient ruins, walls, and bricks—that’s why Rome is my perfect place. Overview of your Rome tour
The Pope's Museum is one of the largest museums in the world. There are 7 kilometers of galleries and rooms with sculptures, frescoes, tapestries and works of art by artists such as Perugino and Botticelli and the genius, the great Michelangelo. This tour is a captivating experience, a dive into history and beauty. For this reason I choose a significant selection of places and rooms that includes the Greco-Roman section with the Highlights such as the Nile, the Laocoon, the statues of the animals, the red porphyry tomb of Elena; the galleries and finally the Sistine Chapel. Romina was an excellent tour guide. Romina knew everything about Vatican City. Romina always was making sure we were comfortable and answered any questions we had. When you have a private guide you learn so much more than trying to read everything yourself. Romina was very prompt and told us exactly where to meet her and it was very simple. Knifes are not allowed. -Only small bags/backpacks are permitted (size 40x35x15). I suggest to bring a bottle of water -For Security reasons all the visitors to be screened with Metal Detectors.
